The argument I will be making is was Julius Caesar a good leader? I have researched many good reasons why Julius Caesar was a good leader but There will be three factors that stood out to me that are qualities and abilities that are needed in a leader the main three that will be used are, Julius Caesar was the greatest politician of his time, Julius Caesar was the best general of his time, and finally Julius Caesar respected his man. The answer to the Question I asked earlier is yes, Julius Caesar was a great leader for the facts that where listed above witch I will be telling you about. I looked at many different resources well making this project and there were a couple books that came across as good resources. I read around 30 pages from each before I made my decision on witch resources to pick and the main resource I used was Julius Caesar life of a colossus write by Adrian Goldsworthy. It was a really well-developed book and had lots of information packed in it. That us where two out of the three factors I am using in this argument. looking them over in my other sources and they all had the same information. The first factor that will be arguing is Julius Caesar was the greatest politician of his time. ‘Caesar pushed for important reforms such as the new calendar created by Sosignes, much like the one used today’ (McGill 1) which is important because if they didn’t invent this calendar we may be using a different calendar then we are right know. Julius
In this paper I will compare and contrast four Roman leaders and their leadership styles. Caesar in my opinion was the worst being a dictator, and ultimately bringing Rome to its demise, Whereas Numa brought great prosperity to Rome for many years. I will compare these four leader’s military leadership, civil leadership and their ethics.
Julius Caesar was born on July 13, 100 B.C., in Rome, died on March 15, 44 B.C. The Roman Empire was the greatest empire at the time when Caesar was born. Before Caesar became a dictator, he tried to win some power in the Senate. If he won, he will be on the top list of the senators, but if he lost, he will basically lose everything, career and money. When Caesar became a dictator, the empire itself is not peaceful, but he changed that. Julius Caesar can be called the top leaders of Rome in the history, because he was well governed the empire, conquered other cities and have the respect from his soldiers. He brought a lot of territory to Rome, but the war causes thousands of thousands of people to death and slaves. When Caesar was a dictator, he had some victory during the war.
Julius Caesar was a great leader of Rome. Not only did he lead a very strong army, but his people also loved him. The debate is always should he have been killed or should he have lived and lead us to more victories.
I chose to do my research paper on Augustus Caesar. The reason I chose him is because there are few people in history to reach his level of dominance and authority that he possessed. It was over two thousand years ago and his name is still very well known in history. He left his mark on history like very few people that have ever live. In this research paper, I will first write about his story to leadership and how he abstained power. Following this will be an in depth breakdown of his leadership style and how he chose to lead others.
One of the most famous roman emperors was the almighty Julius Caesar. Julius Caesar had a critical and excellent impact on the Roman Empire. In this compelling biography detailing the history of Julius Caesar and the greatest figure in history through my eyes it depicted they ways he has helped mold Rome even after his death two thousand years ago. Julius Caesar by Philip Freeman is a very well written book. This biography, however, comes neither to praise Caesar overmuch nor to bury him among the tyrants of history (3). I must say that I am not an avid book reader but from what I already knew about Julius Caesar I figured this would broaden my interest. Julius Caesar was an author, politician, and a general that was a big part of the great Holy Roman Empire. Philip Freeman did a great job in portraying Julius Caesar as a hero and a villain. It almost seems that all people that have done great things in their respective fields get the
When you finish reading this essay you will agree with me on the fact that Julius Caesar was a wonderful man and a great political leader.
When it comes to someone ruling they should be a loyal, trustworthy person who puts the country first. In Julius Caesar people pondered between three people to be in charge. While some may believe Mark Antony and Julius Caesar are the perfect candidates for Roman ruler, Brutus is the ideal leader over the two of them.
Everyone wants to be on top; to be the head honcho, the leader, the king. Some are born with greatness while other achieve it. Julius Caesar was born into greatness and achieved greatness through great leadership. Despite his arrogance, Caesar was a great leader. There are numerous factors which render Julius Caesar a significant figure or in other terms a ‘great’ leader. However several sources agree that
The most influential, persuasive and shows the best leadership ship skills is Cassius. I feel that Cassius is the strongest leader out of Julius Caesar, Brutus, and Marc Antony because Cassius is cunning wise and wise. Julius Caesar clams that Cassius is a great observer and he looks through the accomplishments of men. In the book “Julius Caesar” it states, “Let me have men that are fat sleek-headed men, and such as sleep a-nights. Yond Cassius has a lean and hungry look. He thinks too much. Such men are dangerous”. This quote supports my claim because this shows how Caesar tells Antony that Cassius has a sharp and mind, and he thinks too much. Antony dismisses Caesar concern, but Caesar doesn’t know if Cassius is trustworthy, so Caesar tells
To begin, in Julius Caesar many may argue that Brutus was the hero of the play however, the courage and skillful use of language makes Antony a great leader which stands out amongst them all. The way Antony incorporates rhetoric and specific
To illustrate how great of a general Caesar was, I have organized this paper into three sections. Two of them have subsections. In the first section, I present Julius Caesar’s biography, which consist of his
From the moment he stepped foot into the [[San Bruno Primate Shelter]], Caesar always had the former circus orangutan, Maurice watching over him. Maurice watched from the sidelines when Caesar struggle to adjust to the shelter and found himself in an unnecessary fight with the alpha chimpanzee Rocket. After seeing Caesar's potential, Maurice decided to befriend the chimpanzee, showing him that he too could use sign language. Caesar happily took the orangutan's companionship and never once questioned him except over his ability to use sign on their first encounter.
