You might think that cheesecake originated in New York, when in fact it actually dates back to Ancient Greece, over 4,000 years ago! They were used as wedding cakes and were even served at the first Olympic Games to athletes. Although cheesecake has been around for centuries, we now know and love it as a popular, delicious dessert with many variations.
New York Cheesecake
Ingredients
Crust
- 1 cup graham crackers (crushed)
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 3 tablespoons of melted butter
Cheesecake Filling
- 5 packages of cream cheese
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup sour cream
- 4 eggs
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. To make the crust, mix together the graham crackers, sugar and butter in a medium bowl and then press into a 9” spring-form pan. Bake for 10 minutes or until golden brown.

Ingredients
- 1 (15 ounce) can of pumpkin
- 1 (8 ounce) package of cream cheese
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 eggs
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup of Bisquick mix
- 1 1/2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
Instructions
1. Lightly grease a 9” pie plate and preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
2. In a food processor or blender, blend all ingredients on high until well blended.
3. Pour the mixture into the pie plate and bake for 45 minutes.
4. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours until completely cool. Serve and enjoy!
