What is yellow with black spots, loves to run fast, and is one of the most popular cats in the zoo and wild? Cheetahs, muscular fast cats, are one of the most gentle cats at the zoo and in the wild. The black spots and the yellow coat gives the cheetah a weird and unique physical characteristics. The habitat the cheetah lives in is just as important as the behavior. The cheetah’s behavior is very important to help them survive. The habitat may be important for the cheetah’s survival, but it's the diet that is more important for the cheetah's survival as well. Hunting is a vital part to the cheetah's survival, behavior, and habitat. Cheetahs sometimes hunt in tall grass areas to stalk their prey and then surprise them. They have very good camouflage the spotted and yellow coat really help the cheetah blend in so they can plan a surprise attack on their prey. When a cheetah gets his meal his strong jaws and a rough tongue help it tare apart the meat. Cheetahs prey are Ostriches, other birds, hares, lizards, frogs, eggs, tsama melons, and antelope are all on the menu for a cheetahs meal. When a cheetah catches one of its favorite foods it drags the prey over to a shady place and rests for 30 minutes after the hard run and then enjoys his meal. A cheetah catches meals by tackling or pushing over its prey and puts its paw over its throat to kill it (“Wexo 4-5”). A cheetah mostly hunts in very early mornings or sometimes very late afternoons because at those two specific times their food is usually active at these two times. When the cheetahs go hunting they have to be very careful because if the get a kill lions, leopards, jackals, hyenas, and vultures usually steal their kill and those are also the cheetahs top predators besides the jackal and the vulture. The cheetahs try to avoid these animals while hunting and on a normal bases (“Johnson”). To catch its prey a cheetah relies on its incredible speed and it also uses it incredible speed to run from predators. Cheetahs don’t just hunt alone they hunt in groups of 2-4 to hunt bigger prey. When in groups they hide behind rocks and tall grass and then all come out at once and attack or they just run down their prey(“Out”). All and all stalking, hiding, and running down, the cheetah is able to survive by hunting.
The Florida Panther used to thrive throughout most of southeastern United States, but today, they are little number of species in southern Florida. The habitat of Florida panthers consists of pinelands, hardwood hammocks, and swamp terrain. Living in these types of environments, you can tell that their body types are made to hunt live prey. Their preferences for sources of food are: wild hogs, deer, rabbits, and when limited resources they will eat raccoons and crocodiles. In the mind of a panther, their strategy for hunting strategy is single out, stalk, ambush, while rarely chasing their prey for long periods of time.
They are known to be voracious predators with a varied diet, essentially eating any type of animal that they encounter.
When the lanes start to wear down players must start making adjustments. These types of players have found success in switching to a less reactive ball while playing the same line. The strongest types of ball motions are often rolled very deep in the lane even though the pattern allows for many different entry angles. Bowlers have often found that different lane surfaces affect the ball motion, making some shots harder than others. Another pattern, referred to as the Cheetah pattern, one of the shortest, lies at only about thirty-five feet down the lane. The name implies that players should use faster ball speeds to create straighter angles on the lane. On the PBA tour, this pattern is one of the higher scoring patterns but is tougher for non-professionals
The Florida Panther is currently an endangered species of cougar that resides in the southern forests and swamps of Florida. While it is a species of the cougar, it is identified as a panther to be able to clearly distinguish between the other southernmost species of cougar in the United States. The Florida Panther is a carnivore with a diet based on the animals native to their region such as deer, wild hogs, and other small game like rabbits or raccoons. Normally they are solitary animals, their homes range from 75-150 square miles of terrain, and while some homes may overlap it will not be by a lot. This overlap normally comes from females, for mating reasons but due to them being solitary, they are extremely aggressive towards other males
Did you know that gorillas have 98% of their DNA identical to humans? In this paper I’m going to be teaching you about gorillas and their habitat. Gorillas are large apes that are native to Africa. They are typically divided into two groups. The mountain gorilla lives in the mountainous regions of central Africa, while the lowland gorilla lives in the flat, dense forests of central and western Africa.

In order for cheetahs to eat, they approach their prey in a certain way to be successful; otherwise, they will not eat. Russell also notes that, the cheetah hunts with speed and knocks down its prey before killing it (Russell). When cheetahs hunt, they first identify their meal. Whenever there are hiding places available like tall grass, the cheetah use the cover to sneak up on its prey (JessZoo). They lower themselves so their victim does not see them. They creep very slowly and soon gain speed. If the prey looks up, the
Wild carnivores must continually fend for themselves in order to maintain and ensure their survival. Carnivores must be able to hunt their food, a rigorous process requiring much uptake of their energy, meanwhile, preserving energy for living. (Laundre 2014) How large Predators Manage the Cost of Hunting is a study conducted to measure the amount of energy carnivores use up while hunting prey. Pumas and cheetahs have particular techniques when it comes to pursuing prey. Pumas tend to be observers; they linger around their prey, watching them before they make their move. Searching of the prey takes up most of the puma’s energy. However, in order to save energy, Pumas will use up different amounts of energy based on the prey’s size, using up
A Mountain Lion’s Predator behavior is mostly keen senses, muscular body, and remarkable adaptability make it ideally suited for a predatory existence. Because they are the most exclusive of meat-eaters, almost every feature of a cat's body is related to the way it detects and catches its prey.

Although lynx hunt their prey like mice and squirrels on the ground, but they often climb trees and swim swiftly to catch birds

A leopard’s diet are mostly anything that has considered meat which makes them carnivores. Each time that they go and hunt, they aren’t as picky on what they eat. Everytime that they go hunting for their food they hunt for gazelle, impala, and deer. On occasion when they go hunting they go for monkeys, rodents, and birds.
Cheetahs are true carnivores which means they depend on meat for survival. They use high speed to easily hunt their prey. Primary diet of cheetah consists of springbok, ostriches, impala, deer, gazelles, warthogs, birds, hares, young zebras etc. These animals tend to target younglings because of the greater rate of success. And while hunting these species like to stalk their prey for 10- 50m and then start sprinting towards it. During this time frame, their bodies are under immense strain and pressure as a result their body temperature rises to its highest.
