To inform buyers of major differences between Chevrolet and Ford Pickup Trucks
There are many differences between different car manufacturers. However, Chevrolet and Ford are among the top but the rivalry of these two companies will continue to challenge each other to a new and better product. Chevrolet and Ford are two very different companies that always try to compete in making the best automobile. My opinion is that Ford has a good looking truck, but Chevrolet has a better overall powertrain. So Chevrolet is my own personal choice if I were buying a new truck.

On a new option added to the 2011 Chevrolet Silverado is the transmission brake which gears the transmission down on a steep grade while towing a heavy load. This option is only offered through Chevrolet. As of right now it is not available on Ford’s. The 2011 Ford F150 is the heaviest truck of this year’s half ton family. It weighed about 6000 pounds. The truck comes equipped with Ford’s 5.4L Triton V8. The truck was the slowest of the new half-ton trucks because of its large mass. The new F150 was least classified to pull a fifth wheel camper or other large trailers even though it has best in class towing. Although it seems as if it is not meant for towing heavy loads, the exterior and interior is attractive thanks to its chrome accents, but that doesn’t matter when you are getting around 13 miles per gallon. Chevrolet has added many options to the lineup for the new trucks this year. A new and improved traction controlled system has been added as well as Stabilitrak Electronic Stability Control System and power side view mirrors. As far as the interior goes, there is always the option of having leather seats but this year Chevrolet added heated seats for the driver and passengers of the vehicle as well as satellite radio. Axles on the new Silverado’s have been upgraded to 9.5 inch axles. Ford Motor Company has award winning best in class towing and payload. A new feature that Ford has added to their
With a mere 275 horsepower it was outperformed by all competition. “Along with the dreadful horsepower, Ford owners complained that the trucks they purchased yielded inadequate miles per gallon” (Powerstrokehub). To compensate for both these issues, for introduces a much higher pressure fuel delivery system that would allow for the cleaner burning of fuel and overall less fuel needed to run the engine. Ford and International Navistar also introduced a newly designed smart turbocharger. “This allowed the turbo housing to expand and contract depending on the throttle position” (Truck Trend). This allowed for a quicker spool time of the turbocharger with allowed a quicker horsepower gain and output resulting in better fuel economy. Tighter machining tolerances were also implied for almost all of the engine components that went into the 6.0l Powerstroke allowing grater compression of the engine and mitigating areas where oil, air or fuel could leak out under high pressures. “With all of these changes implemented that new 6.0l Powerstroke engine boasted a whopping 325 horsepower and 516 foot pounds of torque” (Banks Power). This gave customers a truck that could outperform all of the

People are known for favoring one brand over the other. Design, performance, and value are the three areas where Chevy is superior to Ford. When it comes to design Chevy blows Ford out of the water. The first thing a person notices when they look at the front of each brand of truck is that Chevy trucks have the Chevy emblem set against a black grill, whereas, a Ford has the Ford emblem set against silver. Ford’s emblem has to state the name Ford instead of simply having a recognized emblem like Chevy does.
Ford and Chevy both are good-producing sectors, they both manufacture automobiles that are similar but different.
People say Ford is better than Dodge, but is it really? Or is Dodge better than Ford? Even though Ford has some things that are better than Dodge, Dodge has better “important” things. For example, Ford’s performance isn’t as superior as Dodge’s. Dodge diesel can pull up to 30, 000lbs equate to Ford which can only pull 26, 700lbs. The Ford F-150 has been proven to be safer than the Dodge 1500. Whereas Dodge has a better style than Ford.
The most visible change in telling the difference in a 1968 from a 1967 was the addition of side-marker reflectors on all fenders. Also, the small rear window cab was no longer available. Another addition was the Custom Comfort and Convenience interior package that was better than the Standard cab and more low class that the CST cab options. C10 or K10 models could be manufactured with either a 115-inch wheel base with a 6 1/2-foot cargo box or 127- inch wheelbase with an 8-foot cargo box available in Fleet side or Step side models. Standard Features included Full-width seat with vinyl trim, deluxe air heater/defroster, backup lights, painted front bumper because chrome bumpers are not considered “standard”. Also the 1968 Chevy trucks came with a 2-speed windshield wiper and directional signals. For about 160 dollars more, the CST (Custom Sport Truck) package could be ordered which had all of the features listed above, plus Western style vinyl seats, roof rim molding, carpeting for the floor panels and also for the gas tank, and break and gas pedal

Have you ever wondered what is the best truck? Is it the Ford F-150, Ram 3500, GMC Sierra 3500 or Chevy Silverado 3500? I think it is the Chevy Silverado. Although the Ford GMC and Ram has some things that are better than the Chevy.I think the Chevy is the better truck. The Chevy Silverado 3500 is better than the Ford F-150,GMC Sierra 3500 and the Ram 3500. The Chevy Silverado has 420 Horsepower, it has 15 to 21 miles per gallon, and it can tow 23,200, it can tow 23,000 lbs.
The Ram 2500 is a reasonably well-rounded heavy-duty workhorse, while less fuel efficient than the Ram 1500, it more than makes up for it with increased payload and towing weight. The maximum tow weight of the truck is just under 9 tons, nearly double that of the Ram 1500, while the maximum payload weight is nearly 2 tons, which is more than twice as heavy as the Ram 1500's maximum.
Marketers of the F-150 truck line traditionally target the construction industry with heavy towing capabilities and large carrying capacities. In January of 2015, “Ford starts most comprehensive truck marketing campaign to introduce the toughest, smartest, most capable F-150 ever” (Ford Motor Company, 2014). Marketers again target the working class men who depend on reliability, durability, and capability. Ford bombards the television ads, radio talk shows, consumer websites, print ads, and Hispanic sports competitions with information promising toughness. On the first day of the campaign, Ford placed three television commercials during a nationally televised college playoff football game showcasing the 2016 F-150. The first commercial, forward march, introduced the F-150 as being tougher, smarter, and more capable than the competition. The second advertisement, what’s next, concentrated on innovations such as a remote releasing tailgate, LED lighting, and a three hundred sixty degree exterior camera. The third commercial, move it, let consumers know that the 2015 F-150 has the best-in-class, six ton capacity payload (Ford Motor Company, 2014). The official Ford website has various videos informing the consumer on various topics including: road handling, an aluminum body that reduces the truck weight by seven hundred pounds, six ton load capacity, back up turning knob control and camera, safety, fuel efficiency, strength, and innovation (2014).
