For this research project the restaurant that I decided to go with was Chick-fil-A, the company is best known for specializing in chicken sandwiches and the invention. I not only made the decision to use this restaurant because of its popularity, but also because I find the dynamic of it as a whole to be pretty fascinating. The company's culture is influenced by its founder's Southern Baptist beliefs, which is why all Chick-fil-A restaurants are closed for business on Sunday. Religion and business are two elements that generally aren’t supposed to go together especially when people can be so iffy about the topic, so to me it’s really cool to see an establishment that was not only able to implement that on a large scale, but also be able to
I learned about the Chick-fil-A Franchise Opportunity through my own personal research. I began to research an opportunity with Chick-fil-A when I purchased my home in Elgin and found myself driving to Austin to enjoy Chick-fil-A with my children every Saturday.
Chick-Fil-A is an American food restaurant franchise having its head office in Georgia, USA. The company was established in 1946 and has gradually entrenched itself in the American food industry as a cultural icon in the Southern United States for its specialty in preparation of chicken sandwiches. Chick-Fil-A prides itself for the establishment of over1690 branches located within the United States alone as well as its economic contribution to the larger part of Western America and California. It realized sales of around $4.6 billion in 2012, which reflected a 14 percent increase over the overall performance experienced in the previous year by the chain while the same-store sales performance increased by 8 percent. In Houston, Texas, the greatest performer realized a 7.2 million total gross sales in 2012. Chick-Fil-A uses a significantly distinct model, notable in the retention of the ownership of each restaurant since its acquisition. Chick-Fil-A selects the most suitable restaurant location, undertakes its construction, then takes over its ownership. Chick-Fil-A requires a payment of only a $5,000 as capital to become an owner of their branch while its rival franchises pay almost $2 million. The company receives over 15, 000 submissions annually from interested franchise operators for the available 70 slots. Chick-Fil-A receives a bigger allocation of income in comparison to other chains amounting to $190,000 per year. Chick-Fil-A’s solid mission statement and its
After analyzing the data, I found Chick-Fil-A was the one with the most picks and Burger King had the least amount of picks. I believe Chick-Fil-A had the most picks because of their delicious Chicken Sandwiches and their Freshly Brewed Iced Tea Sweetened. When you go to Chick-Fil-A your food is made to order, you don’t have to wait to long in drive-thru, and the workers always have a positive attitude. Burger King food can sometimes be bland and over cooked. McDonald’s and Wendy were almost tied up, but McDonald’s came in second place . They sale mainly the same thing but Wendy’s food looks and taste better. Also, when you go to the other restaurant McDonald’s, Wendy’s and Burger King you may have a longer wait time and your order may not
The industry concentration is low. The top four players in the Fast Food Restaurants industry are expected to account for 31.6% of available market share, giving this industry a low level of concentration. Given the diversity of food styles and operations, nearly 48.0% of establishments are small-business operators that have nine or fewer employees. An additional 55.0% of establishments have between 10 and 99 employees. Over time, the industry's concentration has decreased. As many of the older stalwarts lose ground to up-and-coming concepts, such as smaller chains like Chick-fil-A, as well as fast-casual concepts such as Shake Shack, are gaining ground, as sales have faltered for larger competitors. Over the past five years, there has been
Chick fil A is a unique company and is clearly different from most fast-food restaurants; employees are kind, helpful and maintain a clean environment no matter where they located. As stated previously Chick-fil- A’s corporate purpose is constructive in addition it emphasizes their culture “To glorify god by being a faithful steward of all that is entrusted to us. To have a positive influence on all who come in contact with Chick-fil- A.” (cite) This statement truly shows how the company’s leadership has created a culture where service is just as important as profit. The emphasis of this section of the paper will be to research while also analyzing how Chick-fil-A makes people a priority and how doing things in an uncommon way has certainly helped Chick-fil-A create a strong culture as well as a successful business.
My favorite restaurant to eat at is Chick-Fil-A. I like Chick-Fli-A because the food is good, the wait is not long, and the employees are always nice. I have always enjoyed eating at Chick-Fli-A. When I was younger I would always try to get done eating fast so I could go play in the small indoor playground. There would always be a lot of kids in the play area. We would play hide-and-go-seek or whatever other game that we wanted.
Chick-fil-A is known for their famous Chick-fil-A sandwich, but also for their private, family –controlled ownership structure, philosophy on management and biblical principles. Chick-fil-A uses the differentiation strategy to set them apart from other fast-food chains. Chick-fil-A mission was “To glorify God by being faithful steward of all that is entrusted to us and to have a positive attitude influence on all who come in contact with Chick-fil-A”, and to be “America’s best quick-serve restaurant.” One of their strategies they use to set them apart was focusing on people. This strategy included interview process, golden rule, consistent
A family filled environment with talking cows telling a customer to "Eat More Chicken", this could only be the famous Chick-fil-A on Rockwell and Northwest Expressway. Aside from visiting the fast food hotspot with my volleyball team every away game we have had since my freshman year, I visit this location with me nieces as well giving me plenty of experience with the environment set forth. Chick-fil-A uses their simple look inside and out, their attentive service, the community based events held at the restaurant, and providing a simple form of information through their website to give a family friendly environment for all ages to come and enjoy while eating their fresh food.
My trip to Chick-Fil-A had an abundance of strengths from the trip. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was how clean it was. The table we sat at was spotless. There were no traces of anyone that sat there prior to us which was a good sign. At most “fast food restaurants” you collect the food when it is ready and then sit. Chick-Fil-A was not like most though, they had their employees bring the food to your table when it was ready. After both my friend and I thanked her, she said the same line as before with “my pleasure”. After digging into my food it tasted too good for it to be from a “fast food” restaurant. The chicken was all natural which was a bonus because many other chains’ food is processed. In addition,
It is no surprise that obesity is rapidly taking over our beautiful country by the thousands. The possibility of this number dropping is very unlikely. America is known for being the land of the free, and home to the heaviest living population. But with so many people in a rush on a regular basis, fast food plays a huge role in an average lifestyle. One out of four individuals consume fast food on a daily basis. A majority of these fast food joints carry chicken sandwiches. They have been a staple menu item for years. Without a doubt, Chick-Fil-A has the most delicious fried chicken sandwich ever produced.
Proposal: Change in the fast food industry (we can take a specific restaurant like McDonald’s) to fight obesity
Looking at Chick-fil-A consumers specifically, 72 percent of consumers who visited Chick-fil-A most often come from south part of the United States. Of Chick-fil-A consumer, 73.5 percent are white and 69 percent have received at least some level of college education. Those between the ages of 18-49 are Chick-fil-A top consumers, with 30-34 year olds being the age range with the most consumption at 11.2 percent. This is largely due to the fact that this is the age range where people become parents and have children living in their household. Besides, quick food service like Chick-fil-A accommodate the need of people from age of 30-34, who are mostly employed and have a quick pace

He presided behind the counter of a storefront New Jersey fried chicken restaurant, making his home with his family in an apartment above it. To some of his friends, Ahmad Khan Rahami was known as Mad, an abridgment of his name rather than a suggestion of his manner, and they liked the fact that he gave them free food when they were short on money.
The research was mainly completed in Google Scholar; however, I also used JSTOR, Microsoft Academic Search, and Mendeley for additional research. The sources were helpful considering they provided a concise overview, and offered the context for the evaluation of the reality of the fast food chains strategies and ignorance. I used a survey in order to further my understanding about public knowledge and views on fast food corporations. Most of the research were secondary sources; for the authors used others research to further support their claims. On the other hand, one of the research was a primary source which was written by a worker in a fast food outlets which offered personal experiences. Both types of reports were helpful
