As the appointed project leader for MusAt’s new project, I have arranged a team of five creative members with different skills and talent to execute and finalise the project. The paper will introduce the members I have chosen and justify why I have appointed them to the team. I will also address potential issues of each member and as a manager I will justify how I will oversee outcomes of the work to report to Fiona.
First appointed member of the team is Dagma. I have chosen Dagma for her long-term experience in the industry and capability to manage a team with maturity.
Dagma will be useful in the project to oversee new members to MuSat such as Angela Hutness. Because Dagma is and mature member of the group with an authoritative attitude, Dagma will be my eyes and ears for reporting of other members of the team. This approach, according Beir (1995), is using a leader within the team who knowns the team well enough to compensate for any risks in the creative process, (Beir, 1995, p. 503). Dagma will fill structural holes for instances, running along information to members like Charles who may be left out due to leaving meetings early. Other team members such as Philippa who might work solo could leave information gaps in the reporting, Dagma will be able to focus on the process of others in the project and translate information across the team when I am unable to, inevitably building trust within the team.,(Burt, 2004). In addition I have chosen Dagma to work without

The final team member chosen was for the position of linker/producer. Marcell seemed to be the natural choice for this position. The single most important factor that made Marcell seem to be the best choice for this position was his proven ability to identify the deliverable or objective in any given situation. In the position of linker/producer, the ability to coordinate, integrate, provide directions, and follow through were areas that I felt best suited Marcell’s skill set. Marcell’s excellent project management skills and his ability to keep people on track were also important factors that I considered when making this choice.
Kathryn Petersen, the new Chief Executive Officer of DecisionTech, was not a normal CEO of a technology firm. Kathryn a fifty-seven-year-old who had a military and automotive industry background yet she had an extensive history of turning executive teams that were not functioning as a team to one cohesive unit.
By analysing these areas it is apparent there are lessons to be learnt when undertaking enormous projects that are exposed to numerous external pressures. Whilst there were many significant negative issues that ascended from this project, it must be emphasised that over due time, Federal Square has developed itself into a cultural epicenter that feeds a thriving city.
The members that I would choose for my team are: Jena Jaenke, My Linh Nguyen, and Linda Robinson. These 3 team members in particular have the multitude of skills necessary to be successful. Jena Jaenke has a background in Human Resource Management which is essential to creating an evaluation plan. She has knowledge on
