E1: Describe three different types of settings which provide care and education for children in your area. This must include one example from the
I did my placement at the Halifax Street Children Centre & Preschool. It is for children from only months old up till five years of age, just before leaving for school. I worked in the baby room which was children under the age of two. I chose the career as in my effort to find a placement I found out that I couldn’t work in a hospital so I had to come up with something else. I have always wanted to work with children and I really like the idea of paediatrics, so that’s when I decided to try out childcares. The methods that worked best for me was to be organised and always be in contact with the company before the week. The methods that didn’t work was not asking enough questions before the placement. Some things were still a surprise when
Have you ever thought why won’t the schools develop daycare programs at the school? The daycare center at the school for young teen mothers who dropout of school to start their career early without furthering their education and young teen fathers won’t feel the need to drop out to get a job and support his child. There are some on site daycare’s in some states but there’s just a few, there needs to be more. Although having on site daycare center has some bad to it, to others it has some good to it like teen parents feeling of security can be satisfied knowing that their child is in a safe place, create more jobs, and teens save up money and welfare won’t be an option.
Receiving children into settings can be very busy therefore it is very important to have a clear system put in place to welcome children into the setting. We ensure that a risk assessment is carried out before children can enter the setting so any dangers and risks can be minimised. It is important that the
Last week we met as a team to create a transition plan for two children to return to their father’s care due to the father obtaining and maintaining housing, employment, and sobriety over the past ten months. The children were present at part of the meeting and contributed their thoughts about returning home with their father. The children then expressed being excited to be able to move home with their father. The transition was set up to have the children in their father’s care on October 14th so that the children would start their new school following fall break. I met with the father this week on Wednesday and found out that the father had quit his job on Tuesday. As we talked the father stated that his supervisor was being disrespectful Monday morning and continued to be disrespectful throughout the day and the father was unable to tolerate the disrespect any longer so he did not return to work on Tuesday resulting in a no call no show. I provided the client with several employment leads to local businesses and encouraged him to apply quickly. I notified the FCM
In this research article, there are a few research questions being presented. The overall topic however is child care and how that affects behavior and development as we grow up. The first one is discussing long term effects of child care. This involves considering the quality, quantity, and the type of child care. Another question that is presented discusses how each of the aspects I had just mentioned relates to academics and behavior as well. The final question being presented discusses effects from early child care coming up later in life or disintegrating completely.
My interviewee is a close friend of mine, she is a Curtin university student, as well as working at a daycare center. Her job involves working with children from 0-3 years of age. She provides care and guidance for children as well as teaching kids primary and essential knowledge from young age. She deals with all types of children and she observes the children’s behaviors on daily basis, as this is a important role for her job. In the past she has spent time observing specifically autistic children, she explained how fascinating she found autistic children, and that she would like to learn more about their condition. She explained how often she has to try harder to explain simple things to autistic children, by repeating herself several times, showing him/her examples of her instructions. She also told me how as soon as autistic children understand her instruction, follow her rules to the best of their ability, often doing an excellent job. She said that its as almost if these children are adults, for example when she tells children “it is home time, time to put away all the toys”. Autistic children put the toys exactly where they got them from often in an organized manner. After that I asked her if she is interested in knowing more about autism. she explained her knowledge of autism is limited and that she would like to know why autistic children, have an excellent performance in areas such as, music, art, math and perform poorly in other areas such as,

I am an education major and I want to own my own daycare one day. I am going to use a daycare to demonstrate the different organelles. Golgi apparatus is like the cook in a daycare. The cook and the Golgi apparatus both transfers proteins. Ribosomes are like food because ribosomes proved protein to that cell just like how food give humans protein. The Cytoplasm is like the building of the daycare. The Cytoplasm holds all of the objects in the cell, and the building holds everything in the daycare together. The Nucleus is like an office because, the nucleus hold all of the information just like an office. The Cell Membrane is like an outlet cover it stop the kids from putting their hands inside of the outlets It is away the teachers can know
In conclusion, I decided to do this particular topic because of personal experience. I observed a daycare facility; the teacher had a child that was not able to digest food items like a typical child. The child was three years old. She was feeding in a feeding tube. The teacher in the class room was not able to work the machine so the child can eat. All the children in the center finished eating besides the child. The teacher had to go to classroom to classroom to receive
The ideal childcare setting for my 6-month old baby would be one that included all of the assets I was looking for in a child-care. I would first come to a conclusion on why I was sending my infant to a child-care setting, and make a pros and cons list on whether it was feasible to do so, or to stay home with the baby. Some of the assets discussed would include the education of the employees, health, safety, proximity, cost, nutritional needs, mental, cognitive, and emotional stimulation. Each will be discussed in turn.
Living in a fast paced world where high pressure jobs like technology dominate the workplace, and because most households require a two job salary; parents are forced to locate child care services outside of the home. A mother separating from her baby when she goes to work is one of the hardest things she’ll have to encounter. She might worry the child is not getting all the attention it need, there might be concern that at such an early age, the child will not be able to tell them about any issues that occur at the center. Taking the time to find quality child care is time consuming and a huge responsibility. To ensure the child is receiving the best care possible, parents should seek out centers designed with
The approach to the research on the topic of on-site childcare benefit bases its results on scientific findings. Using scholarly articles what were peer reviewed, and analyzing the findings of experts within the field, while comparing the situation at our two locations. In addition, we solicited the input of the workers with the formation of focus group comprising of members of both staffs from the Rockville and the main campus. This group represented all levels and categories of staff. The aim of the focus group is to communicate with their category of workers and articulate their concerns as it relates to the establishment of an on-site childcare service.

An effective communication technique that could be used in the Gurung childcare setting is to build a good rapport between the Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people and the service itself. Building and maintaining relationships in many traditional cultures is where a high sense of value is placed (Queensland Government, 2015). It would be important to maintain and strengthen these relationships, as it integrates and conveys the importance of the Gurung culture in the childcare setting.
