About the Artist and the Art
The art of Romero Britto gathers symbiotic elements of popular culture from Pernambuco - a state in Brazil -with sophisticated graphic composition, in the presence of the hybridism of the postmodern art and the “glocalization” (global and local) culture of the Contemporary.
Romero started drawing very young, copying the works of other artists he saw in books. He used to articulate compositions in a way that was simplified and naïve, but

The yellow is also another evident color in the art. Yellow symbolizes wisdom, joy and happiness. This is the message that Romero Britto wants to show in all his paintings – the celebration of a happy life.
We can observe a little bit of blue on the globe that the children are holding, which represents the ocean, but also we can observe it on the children’s body, with another meaning. The dark blue is the color of truth and moderation. The turquoise, found on the hair of the boy is the symbol of youth, and also the color of communication. It contains the growth quality of green with the blue quality of communication. Finally, the aqua is the color of high ideals.
Brown and green are other colors found in the art. Combined, they represent wholesomeness and earthiness. They can signify growth and represent the simplicity, friendliness, dependability, renewal, and environment.
The Shapes and Lines
Talking about the lines, we can observe that the picture contains curves, parallel lines, and diagonal lines. Analyzing the shapes, we can find circles and organic shapes (for example, the flowers).
Circles represent the eternal whole and in every culture are the form that represents the sun, the earth, the moon, and the universe. They have free movement, are warm, comforting and give a sense of sensuality and love. Their movement suggests energy and power. Their completeness suggests the infinite, unity, and
Colors are apart of our everyday lives. They help us on dreaming, creating and increasing youthfulness. The author used colors to illustrate an importance behind objects, emotions, and characters. The various colors symbolize location, character traits and appearances.
As we all know, color is the voice for the artist 's sentiment. It makes up the appearance of a picture. Color is the decisive factor in depths of the two-dimensional plane of the artwork, making the viewer feel physically and mentally attracted, or the context of things - the phenomenon the author wants to present. Colors have been around for a long time, but there is not a common definition for colors. And perhaps humans are one of the luckiest creatures that can identify colors. Often, the recipient 's eye knows a myriad of colors and colors that always change based on the relationship between light and perspective. In art, color creates a sense of
The color tone is mostly analogous in the mural; however, there are complementary colors in detail elements such as the artist uses blue and green for large areas to represent river and mountains, uses red and orange to paint houses, huts, horses, small roads and clothes in the village to create emphasis point. For the color tone that artist uses, the harmony of blue and green of the most of the areas can represent the abundance of water or farms in the village and a rainbow ribbon shows what the leader gives to people in the village as
There are many values within this print, but only constitute a handful of colors: Blue, brown, black, white, and gray. Blue is the main color within this print, there are many values of the color blue used. The deepest part of the waves are the darkest blue, while the parts of the waves closest to the surface are lightest blue or white. The sky has a gradient, which is going from the lightest color to the darkest color or vice versa; the sky is creating a gradient, from the bottom up, of black to a very light gray, then to a white-yellow. The colors chosen by Hokusai can also interpret feelings and emotions. The habitual feeling when seeing the color blue is sadness. Sadness and despair would be fitting emotions for this work, due to the giant wave about to crash upon the men in their boats. Blue can also emit a feeling of elegance. The composition of the print and how the lines of the wave flow can be considered a form of elegance.
Color express mood and stresses importance of events in a novel. In the Great Gatsby, the symbolism of color is a crucial one. Yellow, white, and green all affect the mood of this novel. Showing how the colors describe the person or thing both physically, and emotionally.

The artist’s use of color in their work, gives the viewer many different feelings and emotions. One painting by Georges Seurat named Evening, Honfleur utilizes many different colored dots, or points, to blend and balance the different colors. His painting gives a more realistic and textured color to his work, bringing the artwork to life. You can almost see movement in the painting. I even find his use of the color grey as a means to add a calm serenity to the painting. It gives a very great interpretation of an evening on the shore.
The predominant colours within this scene are blacks, dark greens and yellow. This resembles the colour of a robot or someone who is under control. The yellow tone represents the serum that they are injected with (tracking device) the blacks represent the darkness of the Erick’s and Abnegations’ mind sets. However, the dark green represents Tris and Four as it is a colour of compassion and

Most colors within the visible light spectrum hold specific emotions that are conveyed to individuals by artists through their pieces of art. Van Gogh carefully incorporated both vibrant and dark colors in his iconic painting Café Terrace at Night, of which span across a vast array of emotions. One of the colors that stand out when you first observe the painting is the vibrant yellow used for the exterior of the café. The color yellow is known within the art community as a cheerful and warm color, helping the café to come across as an inviting gathering place to the individuals observing the painting. Another color that Van Gogh used which quickly grabs
"What lives in art and is eternally living, is first of all the painter, and then the painting." - Vincent Van Gogh
Van Gogh’s color choice is largely responsible for the mood his painting creates. Upon first glance, the viewer can quickly notice that the artwork consists primarily of yellow and various shades of blue. There are some green lines around the bottom of the picture where the couple stands, and a hint of red can be seen on the women’s dress, but the blue from the water and sky and the yellow from the stars, gas lights on the shoreline, and the reflection of light on the water is much more prominent. Using a cool color such as blue for the base of the painting and adding in yellow to complement and accent it gives the viewer feelings of serenity, because blue is a color often associated with peace and relaxation. The effect of color can also be seen by imagining how different the painting would have looked with a different color scheme. For example, if Van Gogh had predominantly used a vibrant red instead of shades of blue, the artwork would have
In addition, between the two paintings, the colours represent differing meanings within their own context. In the painting with a more negative mood, the colour blue represents sadness and a feeling of drowning, the colour red represents anger and pain, and the colour yellow represents cowardice and the feeling of fear. Conversely, the colour blue in the painting with the more positive mood represents intelligence and stability, the colour red represents love and strength, and the colour yellow represents happiness and enlightenment. These different meanings in colour between the two paintings contributes to the very opposing moods portrayed by each painting that represent the outcomes of each
