I have been impacted both directly and indirectly by chiropractic and chiropractors in several aspects. Although I was not on the table myself until earlier this year, I could see relief and comfort in the faces of family members and friends after receiving adjustment. I approached my chiropractor with the goal to correct my posture. Throughout my visits with Dr. Natalie, my posture did improve, but my confidence and curiosity for the profession equally benefitted as well. Chiropractic became more than an adjustment every couple of weeks, it became my newest fascination. Through my university I was able to schedule shadowing experiences with several chiropractors in the area. This gave me the opportunity to get a feel for the profession as a whole as there is a lot that happens outside of the treatment room. The doctors I encountered were invaluable resources
The experience taught vital lessons that seem not to be the focus in today’s society anymore. Although a business has to have money in order to be successful, money is not everything. The health of patients and their well-being must always be the key reason to strive diligently in the chiropractic field. When you start working just to pay the bills you start to lose integrity and the respect of the patients. They may start to feel that your interest is somewhere else. Patients who can see that they are being taken care of and are receiving great attention are the same patients who come back on a regular basis. This builds strong relationships which can help keep the business running
As years progress, technology makes it possible for individuals, organization and companies the capability to create mobile apps and dynamic websites from home. These mobile apps and dynamic websites in turn simplify our lives in ways we could never imagine before. One of the most commonly used inventions, which can still be considered fairly new, are social networks. Social networks give people around the world the ability to communicate, stay in touch and meet new people online at the convenience of their own time. Many social networks were developed within the past few years but few if any target professionals only. LinkedIn gives a twist to social networking by focusing only on people in professional occupations that would like to
Chiropractors are health-care professionals that contribute a lot to people seeking a health lifestyle. Chiropractors go through safe procedures that can help increase mobility, relieve pain, and optimize performance. A majority of chiropractors treat families however they treat them one-on-one allowing them to form a bond with each person and understanding what that person likes and dislikes. The history of chiropractic first startedoff when Daniel David Palmer made his first chiropractic adjustment on a janitor who couldn’t hear very well. A few days after that adjustment, the janitor cameback and told Palmer that his hearing seemed to improve. The correction to the janitor encouraged Palmer to open a school of chiropractic two years later. “Chiropractic” actually is derived
When you visit the chiropractor for the initial consultation, there are certain things that they will discuss with you to determine the treatment that you need and there are certain things that you should ask them about in order to determine that they are the right person to offer you the treatment.
Chiropractic care uses a holistic approach to health care .These practitioners use spinal adjustments to correct misalignments and restore the proper functioning of the nervous system. This helps your body to heal naturally. Chiropractic care does not use surgery or drugs; rather it adjusts the spine by applying precise force to a specific area of the spine in an effort to correct misalignment. These adjustments make it possible for normal transmission of nerve impulses to resume and ultimately assist the body to recover without the assistance of drugs or invasive techniques.
Chiropractors are health care specialists who can resolve problems related to the musculoskeletal and nervous systems, like headache, backache, neck or joint pain. The experts suggest rehabilitative exercises and offer dietary and lifestyle counseling, but are chiefly known for their practice of "spinal manipulation," in which they put pressure into joints that have suffered tissue injury to restore mobility.
According to Sun Tzu, the supreme art of war is to subdue the enemy without fighting. Analogously, the supreme art of healthcare is to subdue the pathology without treating. Chiropractors being involved in public health is the best way to go about doing so, in my humble
In the article from week three, “Advising on Prevention in Chiropractic” I was surprised to learn that DCs are less comfortable providing patients with wellness information even though “chiropractic principles claim to emphasize wellness, prevention and to a certain degree, health promotion. In addition, chiropractors report providing a substantial portion of prevention and wellness-based care in the U.S. ” (Ndetan, Ramcharan & Evans, 2011). Taking them far beyond the single modality assigned to them from the allopathic community, and in my opinion, underutilizing the full scope of what they offer as CAM
My research question is: to what extent is the Chiropractic Profession a necessity, and how does it differ from personal and public influence? A chiropractor is defined as a health care field that deals with mainly neuromuscular issues that lock nerve function and communication between the body and brain. The proper nerve alignment allows the body to function without added stress. If the nerves are being pinched but unaligned bones, the brain cannot function with the body properly. The pinching of the nerves results in a lack of effectiveness, soreness, and added stress to the muscles. The profession helps a wide range of people in many different ways throughout the United State, Australia, and Great Britain.
To be honest with you, I never really thought that chiropractors did much except pop your back and send you on your way. My thoughts on this changed dramatically when I met Dr. Chad Schnarr of Schnarr Chiropractic and Total Body Wellness in Tullahoma, Tennessee. I’ve been working for Dr. Chad for a year now and I have learned so much about his profession and how what he does on a daily basis is much more than just “popping your back.” For starters, with new patients like the one we have here in the photo, Dr. Chad begins his evaluation by developing x-rays to get an updated image of the patient’s problematic area. He then reads the scans and pinpoints what area of the body he will focus on. Even when treating previous patients, it’s important to get new scans and information regarding the patient’s situation instead of using old films and notes. This makes his treatment more direct to what the patient needs now as conditions in the spine change often.
Chiropractic care goes beyond adjustments. Chiropractors think holistically and individualistically, creating personalized care programs for each patient. They’ll work with you to create a healing program that draws on multiple modalities, including massage, physical therapy, and, in many cases, the support of your physician.
Chiropractic Care is a complementary branch of the health care profession that concentrates on manipulation of the musculoskeletal, to bring relief to individuals suffering pain in areas such as the back, neck, joints and shoulders. More people are searching for ways to eliminate symptoms, while avoiding invasive surgeries, prescription drug addictions and astronomical expenses. Some Chiropractors offer additional supplementation, including regenerative therapy, nutritional support, special exercise programs as well as advice for lifestyle changes. Others are willing to join forces with traditional doctors that are interest in integrated medicine. This piece endeavors to explore the benefits and challenges of Chiropractic Care.
