It has been 2 years since Chloe has been gone. Chloe was my best friend we did everything together. She disappeared one night after a sleepover with all five of us. We had a small group of friends that we told everything to. When Chloe disappeared it was a huge impact on all of our lives. We haven’t been all together since chloe’s funeral. After the night she disappeared they found her body in the river down the road. It shocked everyone when they found her body. Why such an innocent girl who loved everyone have to die like that. Once the funeral ended everyone parted their ways. Crazy to think how we all were so close and the next day we all don’t even live in the same town. Tomorrow will be exactly one year since the sleepover we had when …show more content…
They look completely confused. Happy that she is alive, but know have to find her. One of the police officer's name was Luke, he said he will be taking over Chloe’s case. I asked him if he thinks he will find Chloe. He responded back that he and his team will try there hardest. The only person they can tell that she is still alive is her parents. He asked if we could give him the number she texted us from. He said that he will try to track down the number. He said the best thing is to give him all of our phones so he know the time and everything. A Couple days went past, and still haven't heard anything. Soon my house phone starts to ring. Once i answered they told us to come down to the police station immediately. We all went to the police station as fast as we could. We walked thru the front doors and Chloe was sitting right there. Shocked that she was actually alive and we could actually see here. She looked up and saw us coming in and jumped up and ran to us. The five us back together. The town was extremely happy to see her again. The happy precious soul that ever thought was gone was actually alive. Luke looked at us and said since she was alive that still means someone was killed. So they have to go tell the parents the whole story and they know the daughter is dead. Her name was

The reason for that is because Tasha and her father have gone through alot in the past short period of time with the café being torn down, to a body being found in the basement and the biggest one of all her Mother’s body being the body found in the basement. These events make Tasha and the other characters in the book very sad and mopey. Which was shown when the police left the house after telling Tasha and her Dad that the Mother was found dead in the basement, Tasha and her father were very quiet and sad over the next few days doing next to nothing. Another person those events affected was Jace, Tasha’s friend. Those events made him caring but still suspicious. He showed he was caring when he went out of his way to purchase sold out concert tickets from a girl at his school with his own money so him and Tasha could go see a concert of one their favourite bands, if that’s not caring I don't know what is. The way Jace suspicious is when he asked Tasha why she was so sad and not immediately happy when she heard about the concert tickets, he was wondering if she thought it was to soon, he also wanted to know more about what happened to Tasha’s mom. The last people the setting affects is the detectives. The reason for that is because of what Tasha has gone through they need to give her time and space and be nice to her if they want her to
Another example is the enigmatic Vera Atkins who challenged conventional ideas of gender roles. Atkins was a volunteer for the Special Operations Executive (SOE) founded by Winston Churchill. She was a Jewish refugee from Romania and was the brilliant and highly-effective leader of the SOE. During her time, there was a fear of the “voluntary” spy, spies that were too eager to be a part of the Intelligence agencies. These people were considered to be moles sent by opponents. Vera Atkins was perceived as an enigma by those around her during her wartime service and social life. She took after her father’s footsteps and maintained a life of privacy. Her father had advised her that “There’s safety in conjecture” and became known for her contradictions;

Thank you all for attending this presidential nomination campaign to show your support for Mrs. Teresa Matthews. It warms my heart on this chilly day to see the American people take a stand for their beliefs. I am honored to have been selected by Mrs. Matthews as her vice president and given the privilege to introduce her before she speaks with you, her supporters. I have worked alongside Mrs. Matthews for what seems like millennia and know her well. Her accomplishments are loftier than those of many of her opponents’ as well as her ideals. I know her supporters have already realized these facts well. You all know that, together, we can, we will, continue to represent the great American dream, lifestyle, and values. Electing Mrs. Matthews
I had never attended any cultural events of Chinao/a until I jointed to SF Cinco de Mayo at Mission area. I had been misunderstanding the true meaning of Cinco de Mayo. I knew the name of Cinco de Mayo but it is only the name I knew, and many people are still misunderstanding that the event is for drinking such as tequila and Corona.

Ancient Athenian and Spartan governmental systems were the pinnacle of ruling during its time. Although both city-states had extremely different styles of administration, it still nonetheless contributed a lot to modern society. The famous Athenian Democracy for example, lays at the foundation of numerous modern nations such as, The United States, Norway, and The Netherlands. While Spartan governing was centered on war, they incorporated various elements from monarchies, oligarchies, and democracies that exists today.
She lived in a 15-acre Christmas tree farm with her mother and father (Doyle, 2015).
We pulled up to an old house that looked abandoned. I saw the Chloe was trying her hardest to hide a nasty grin but, I ignored it because the house is what really grabbed my attention. Chloe turned off the car and opened the door. After that she signaled us to follow. Carly and Ellie glanced at each other and smirked at each other. We walked up to the doorway and opened the door. Somehow I got in front of them and walked in first. Right at that moment someone popped out and screamed. Then I found myself covered in spoiled milk. There was cameras flashing everywhere and all I could do was run and cry. I ran all of the way home, up the stairs, and straight into the bathroom to shower. I couldn't believe how stupid I was and how I didn't see what was coming the whole time. My mother knocked on the door. I stood there for a minute before I opened

I haven’t slept in weeks, the thought of mom’s death has been creeping in more and more lately. Ever since that night things have never been the same and I find myself enraged at the world around me. Dad made Autumn stop dancing, the thought of her dancing reminded him of how mom had loved dancing and how it had caused her death. Little did he know she never stopped, she trained in secret, and I supported her along the way. Autumn was the only one who was there for me after mom died. We became closer to each other, our own support systems in a sense. That was until she left me to be with Sylvia. I was alone, and when I needed her most she left me. I still had my girlfriend Claire, but we were growing apart. When she left too, what life I had left finally shattered. Leaving me to deal with the impact in solitude.
I am sure that everyone of you have heard about aliens and UFOs. Indeed, we all have heard about the famous case of aliens and UFOs in Roswell, New Mexico. Most people might be interested in the topic of aliens, but I know that the majority of you just think of it as rumours and the existence of them are impossible. Therefore, I am standing here in front all of you to make you change your perspective. I am strongly confident that I have found the evidence of their real existence to convince all of you.
The world is embracing globalism, which is a key change in not only the political and cultural paradigms of the business world, but the economic structure. Indeed, as the process and potential of globalism increases in the 21st century, several different fiscal and legal issues have developed that assist organizations in developing standards that will allow an easier approach to global business (Godfrey & Chalmers (eds.) 2007). However, as we have seen with companies like Enron, the use of accounting data can be at the heart of fraud and public confidence and trust, thus standards must be developed as companies consistently move towards global business opportunities (Inkpen & Ramawamy, 2006).
