As Dr. Mike Sosteric sagaciously suggests, the Matrix trilogy is a comprehensive “metaphor for modern capitalistic society” (Sosteric, 2015). In the simplest discernment, the Matrix trilogy reveals that the mass majority is either unaware of, or indifferent to, the extent that they are controlled by the uppermost in society. Furthermore, the concepts put forth in the Matrix trilogy relate to a multitude of the concepts introduced specifically in this unit, and the course in its entirety. These concepts include, but are not limited to, agency, choice, power, propaganda, resistance, mobilization, demobilization, ideology, and religion.
