There are Chinese players that had taken part in NCAA tournament. Chris Tang, The 6-3 scoring guard in UC Riverside, decided to give up his senior year as a student athlete and take his next step to the Shanghai Sharks, The professional team in China, Which is owned by the legendary player-Yao Ming. It is not easy for the talented, humble boy to make this decision. He had work really hard to enter the USA from China for better education and becoming a better player .He arrived at Newport News Hampton Roads Academy high school to begin his fresh man high school year, has average 17 points 4.8 rebounds and 3.2 assists in his first year and he was selected to the Virginia State high school All-Star. Players were trained in gymnastic school and they are fundamentally sound but limited in terms of being able to take a game over and/or lacking in individual play making ability. Most of the players would find it hard to fit in the society after retirement for their education level can only reach middle school level. The China government wants to reform its’ system in to a more athletic one but they still struggle on it. Tang’s performance in USA has not only influence the basketball system in China but also China’s audience. With him participate in the NCAA tournament.
