God. Growing up in a Christian family I attended church on a regular. I was educated about the importance of the bible directly and indirectly through my pastor and family. We all learn of the Ten Commandments, the consequences of sin and ways to handle life.
During this course I'm learning of secularism, which a lot of "Christians" including myself fall into. We all claim Christianity yet do not follow every single thing in the bible. Secularism is basically leading a non-religious lifestyle. Secularists live for nature and society. They believe in separation of the church and the state. The United States of America is a secular country, because they preach "in God we trust" but still allow separation of religion. There is no God in school, but in the pledge of allegiance children quote "one nation under God". …show more content…

Itpoints out the contradictions in the bible. Saying that the bible isn't exactly credible because there are so many issues. Such as, Genesis six and Genesis seven state the exact same stories. Including the same characters and events but changing some stipulations. God told Noah he was going to flood the word because he regretted creating man. There was too much violence and evil in the world. So the consequence was death to all excluding Noah.
Then it turned around with God telling Noah once again his plan to flood the earth but this time for Noah to gather two of each beast clean and unclean, there's an issue within this event because it states the same story and also contradicts itself. God clearly stated each of his commands to Noah in Genesis 6 and 7. Which points out that he could've been unsure or somewhat forgiving of
