“We said no Christopher!” Queen Isabella bellowed, exhausted by the man’s pleading.
“But please my lord, think of the riches! You know there is much gold to be found in Asia–and what about the spices, huh?! Aren’t you sick of bland food?!”
The King, Ferdinand, sighed viciously at this futile begging. He was officially fed up with Columbus’s asinine requests.
“This is the fifth time in two weeks that you can come to us with this ridiculous idea of sailing the Atlantic to find a quicker way to Asia. Don’t you understand that we have a war going on right now, Columbus? We have better things to spend our country’s money on than your maritime adventures. If you don’t get out of here in the next five seconds, I will have you arrested! Do you hear me Christopher?!” The King threatened.

From that fateful day, instead of sailing the Atlantic with the sure fact that the Earth was round in mind, Columbus instead led the life of a dishwasher in some pub of Italy. The whole world population remained in Africa, Europe, and Asia. The Atlantic Slave Trade never occurred, and the map of the world was eventually drawn very awkwardly. The Native Americans never fulfilled their Hollywood dream of horseback bow-wielding experts we know them as, and the Italians never made their big break of being famous for their unsurmountable pizza-making
