Chromium is part of the periodic table this element has the atomic number of 24 which means that it has 24 protons and 24 electrons. Its atomic mass is 51.996, but when reduced it will be 52. The density of the element is 7.19, and the temperature for it is 20 Celsius. And the melting point of the element is going to be 1907 Celsius. This information gives you the idea of what my element has. The history of the element is very interesting, because it came from a Greek word. But it was discovered in France, by Louis Nicolas Vauquelin. Chromium is able to stand into room temperature, most elements can’t do that. This is possibly the only element that can do that. Chromium is a special element by its history. And by this history chromium is
Chromium, the seventh most abundant element on earth is a transition metal from group VI-B .It is found in nature as the bound form constituting approximately 0.1 – 0.3 mg.g-1 of the earth’s crust. The name of the element is derived from the Greek word "chroma" meaning color, because many of its compounds are intensely colored. Cr is able to exist in several oxidation states, of which the trivalent Cr (III) and hexavalent Cr (VI) species are the most stable and abundant forms (Zayed & Terry et al., 2003).
Every element is special because none are ever the same. Even an atoms isotope is different. Krypton’s atomic number is 36. Its atomic mass is 83.798 units. The number of protons in an element, which is also the atomic number, is 36. It also
Chroma was a young and beautiful goddess, who had the power of colors. She gave the gift of providing colours to mankind. By just one touch of hers would instantly give color. While one day when she was giving colors to flowers and she fell in love with a human man named Teo, who later she got married to. They had six kids in total, three of them were female while the other three were male, who’s colours were different two were brown, while the two were black and the two were white. Chroma and Teo loved each other so much that they could not live without each other.Teo’s brother Thase always got jealous of his brother Teo who was married to a beautiful goddess and had the perfect life. While one day when Chroma and her kids left to visit Olympus,
Roccuronium was used to facilitate intubation. Roccuronium is a non-depolarising neuromuscular blocking agent, and has the most rapid onset of the clinically available non-depolarizing neuromuscular blocking agents. Intubating conditions can be achieved in 60-90 seconds after an induction dose of 0.6 mg/Kg. Rocuronium has an intermediate duration of action and is metabolised in the liver and excreted in the bile. It has minimal cardiovascular effects and does not release histamine, however, it has a higher incidence of anaphylactic reactions than other aminosteroid neuromuscular blocking
The name of my element is carbon. Its symbol is the letter “C” and its atomic number is 6. Its atomic mass is 12.0107. Carbon’s abundance on the earth’s crust is 200 parts per million by weight and 344 parts per million by moles. You can buy 100g of carbon for $2.40.
The element I chose is Ag which is called Silver. Its mass number is 107.8682. Silvers atomic number is 47. It's classification is solid and it's in group 11. It's a tranitional metal.
Rhenium, pronounced REE-nee-em, was the last naturally occurring element to be discovered. It was found by the German chemists Ida Tacke-Noddack, Walter Noddack and Otto Carl Berg in the year of 1925 (Rhenium - Element Information). They named the element after the Rhine River river in Germany since that was the country of which they were from. Rhenium does not have any other aliases which is why its element symbol of “Re” is not very different from its actual name. It holds the atomic number of 75 and is located in group seven and period six on the periodic table (Gagnon). With it being a special element and a metal, rhenium is a member of the transition metal group along with other elements such as tungsten and platinum. The transition metals
Hi I’m Calcium I have 20 protons, 20 electrons, and 20 neutrons. My atomic number is 20 and my atomic mass number is 40. My number of electrons in energy level is 20 and my energy level number is 20. Also the period number I belong in for the periodic table is 4. The discovery name is Humphry Davy and he was the one that made me. The year that I was discovered was 1808 and the country they decided to discover me was in England. My element symbol is Ca.
Cyanide is a compound that consists of a carbon nitrogen bond. There is a triple bond from the carbon atom to the nitrogen atom. Cyanide has many usages but can also be very dangerous to the people that are handling the substance. This compound is used in photography, fishing, mining, and papermaking. While it seems efficient in these different activities, it is extremely deadly. This substance is a quickly acting poison that can kill someone in a short period of time. In our poster we went over many different subjects regarding this infamous compound including natural occurrences, pollution caused by the substance, human usages, and future use.
The world was rocked in the aftermath of World War II. The destruction left in its wake would not only have us rebuilding and piecing together our governments, cities, and economies; but our humanity as well. A humanity that was shattered in the face of consequence and a confrontation of our darkest depths of humanity; the act of war. Word of human violation spread like wildfire post world war in occupation and battle hotspots. Happenings most inane, so inhumane, they were be hard to believe that they were true. Fortunately, the spread of globalization along with the after effects of war prompted nation leaders to convene and build together a framework, a concept of Human Rights. This very act prompted Non-Governmental Organizations that watchdog and protect the interest of our basic rights to arise. The weakest and most innocent among us requires the most protection. They are our legacy and they are our future. They are our children.
The element Fluorine is an extraordinary element. The uses for this element are vast and very extensive. This element was discovered in 1810 and very long ago. The element was discovered by Henri Moissan. The origin of the word ”Fluorine” came from the Latin word fluere meaning “to flow”. F is the symbol for Fluorine to make it shorter.
56% of our population in The United States uses tap water on a daily basis. We shower in it, drink it, cook with it, and water out plants with it. How can we know that our water is safe? Well, yearly groundwater tests should be taken. Even if they are expensive; it is better to pay the small amount now, than having to pay millions of dollars for the health expenses of people later. There is a huge chance that chromium could be in our water; chromium is a chemical that is used extensively by different industries. For example, it is used to prevent corrosion in pipes (PG&E), leather tanning and electroplating. Electroplating is the process of changing the surface of a metal to prevent the surface from wearing out; this is widely used on cars,
Scientists have recently discovered the new element zinc. This element can be used for many different things and has very interesting things recently discovered by scientist.
Lawrencium is number 103 on the periodic table Lawrencium got its named after Ernest O. Lawrence the man who discovered the cyclotron a device used to to discover many artificial radioactive elements , was also found in the Lawrence Radiation Laboratory in Berkeley California 1961. This element is the most stable isotope ,Lawrencium has a half life of about 4 hours . Only tiny amounts of Lawrencium have been produced so there no use for it outside of scientific research , the atoms of the element is very small and by Lawrencium having a low half life it does not 't really give scientists a chance to research the element so this means scientists really do not know much about this element . Lawrencium boiling point is 2,960 degrees fahrenheit
After thoroughly reading this week’s material, the specific weapon I have chosen is a chemical compound such as sodium or potassium cyanides. I have chosen cyanides to be a potential weapon used, simply because it is a more discrete way to harm mass casualties. According to the CIA, “typical plots focus on poisoning foods or spreading the agent on surfaces to poison via skin contact” (CIA 2007).
