Darren could be a half vampire with him but he didn't want to because he wouldn't be able to see his family again. He had to to fight Mr.Crepsly the vampire with some power to not be a half vampire but at the same time he thought it was worth the fight. Some people they believe in vampires and they think its true that vampires will kill humans and animals. Darren from Cirque Du Freak, is a clear archetypal hero. This can be proven by the 8 characteristics.

A hero should be able to overcome obstacles and gain something from it. Junior being courageous and go against what is seen as logical for someone like him drives him to make more decisions that seems to have a negative outcome, but ultimately has a positive one instead. Although it might seem extremely tempting to give up, resilience will yield a payoff that is worth all the blood, sweat and tears. Furthermore, motivation from anyone will push an individual to their limits to find out what they can do. Junior demonstrates these traits to find a better life, and to do that, he must experience harsh times. Adversities will be a part of every life, but an individual would have to decide if they would allow it to destroy them, or stand their ground to be a
The word “hero“ is a very short word with a very long meaning. The image that comes up when most people hear the word “hero“ is normally a man with a cape, tights, and a “S” in the middle of his chest, along with a chiseled jaw, muscular arms and body, and dreamy eyes. This image is often thought of when the word “hero” pops up in conversation, although you don’t have to have supernatural powers or fight against evil mad scientists to be considered as a hero.
Heroes cannot be simply defined in a few words; being a hero is not being perfect, it is holding some specific, heroic qualities that people can look up to. Especially in the case of Chris McCandless, one must understand that he was a real person, a person that possessed certain negative aspects of human nature; he is not a figure in a fictional piece of work that can be sculpted to the idea of a hero. Using this definition of a hero, Chris McCandless does in fact, embody the idea of a hero as someone to be admired to a certain extent; he is a figure that has shown noble qualities and strength through adversity.
The concept of a hero has been around for many generations, and the meaning of a hero is defined in ways people grasp its idea. A hero can be a person who has a superpower and is willing to make a personal sacrifice for the benefit of others or can be an ordinary everyday person who just wants to help people out of his or her own heart. Linda Seger’s article, “Creating the Myth,” tackles the idea of a “Hero 's Myth,” and shows the ten steps of how heroes are transformed from an ordinary person to the Savior. On the other hand, Robert B. Ray piece titled, “The Thematic Paradigm,” emphasizes that in modern films, it is either having an “Outlaw Hero or an Official Hero,” which he uses three stages to demonstrates how they are different each other in the way they perform in the society. Further, the article, “Out of Character: Wonder Woman’s Strength Is Her Compassion - What Happened?” by Stevie St. John, explains how Wonder Woman was viewed as a compassionate woman in the 1940s and 1950s, and in the 2000s she changes into a more violent person. In this essay, I argue that a hero is subjective, and is defined by the villain or event that they had to adapt to suddenly.
The heroes are like other human beings but have either done something which makes them excel over others or have a gift that others do not possess.
The term “hero” has many different interpretations for different individuals. In his speech “Heroes”, Tim O’Brien tells his audience how he views a hero and redefines the often dramatized term. He defines a hero as one who knows what a person needs and is willing to give that to them without question. O’Brien accomplishes sharing his argument of what a hero is through the use of appealing to Kairos, diction and syntax.
The Outsiders, by S.E Hinton, is a novel which tells the story of two rival gangs from Oklahoma in 1965. The rivalry is between Greasers who are much poorer than their counterparts from the west-side, the Socials. Ponyboy Curtis is the narrator of this story, and it is through his eyes that the events unfold. In this classic, there three characters who stood out from the rest: Darry Curtis, Dally Whinston and of course, Johnny Cade. But, are they heroes? To answer this question, one must first know what a hero is. In my opinion, a hero is a person who, in the face of danger, adversity or from a position of weakness, display courage and self-sacrifice for the greater good.
Write an essay explaining why you believe each of the Greasers - Ponyboy, Johnny, and Dally - could be considered a hero. Include your own definition of hero in the essay, and be sure to explain how each character, in his own way, meets your definition. Remember to support your ideas with examples.
A hero is someone that is not selfish, cares for others besides himself, and does things that are really brave. A hero is a person who is admired and idealized for courage. A hero would be someone that fights for a cause. Heroes are people who rescue others, or people that do something that is really brave. Ponyboy, Johnny, and Dally are heroes in the book “The Outsiders.”There are many reasons why Ponyboy, Johnny, and Dally are heroes.
He stole the poisonous “Madam Octa” through blackmail. Completely out of his character, Darren was consumed by his selfish act. He was a liar and hid the truth from Steve, as their relationship was tearing apart. Steve was evil since his blood said so. Thus, it forever impacted the way Darren would see Steve. It’s a shame Darren wasn’t a competent liar. Steven caught on to his lies quick. Darren confessed and Steve wanted to be his partner. He wanted to help him perform new tricks with Madam Octa. Darren happily accepted. Everything seemed fine until Darren’s sister, Annie, came in the room and saw the spider on Steve. She screamed. It interrupted the flute process and the Madam Octa bit Steve, paralyzing him. He goes to hospital but none of the doctors can figure out what type of poison it is. Darren goes to Mr. Crepsley for the cure and the he gives Darren an offer: Darren must become his assistant in order for him to be given the antidote. Darren fight with himself, realizing that this was the one solution. He has to let go of his life and start a new one. Once he finished the tests and became a vampire assistant Darren escaped. However, after a period of time he realized he was already a half vampire and was dangerous for his family. The whole realization was the most crucial and depressing epiphany. Darren returns to Crepsley and says, “ I don’t like it, but I guess I’ve got no other choice. I’m yours. I won’t run away again. Do with me as you wish” (Shan 221). Darren’s quote expresses his defeat and dull desolation. This was Darren’s ultimate end. He lost his life by trying to s¬afe his friend’s. Now that he is a vampire he possesses a danger that he won’t risk unleashing on his loved ones. He fakes his death in order to commence his new life as a vampire assistant. This is a sudden recognition of the overall situation, how his decisions affected destiny and therefore impacted and changed
Percy is a prodigy because he was born a demigod with all of his special powers, he is an everyman hero because for most of his life he was treated like any other person in the entire world, he is a misfit because he had very little training for his quest and he really didn't believe that he could do it. Perseus's hero archetype is The everyman because he had no special power he just wanted to give Polydectes a good wedding gift. Percy and Perseus were both everyman heroes because they were both just normal people before they had to go on the journey for medusa and

A hero is described as a figure who is recognized for their extraordinary accomplishments. Joseph Campbell says all hero’s follow a certain path. First, they go through a separation, then an initiation. They go through an initiation to show their worth as a hero, then they return and are reintegrated with society after learning a lesson. Hero’s should also be relatable, which is why they often go through crisis and failures. Even though they contrast each other, Rama from the Ramayana and Gilgamesh from the Epic of Gilgamesh have similar archetypes of the hero.
The hero’s journey has evolved with literature over time, and remains the basis for character development today. So why are there so many stories of the hero in mythology? Campbell answers this question in his interview with Bill Moyers by saying, “Because that’s what’s worth writing about…. A hero is someone who has given his or her life to something bigger than oneself” (The Power of Myth 151).
