Oligarchy controlled the country for their benefit disregard the living situation of less fortunate. The oligarchy would fight anyone to keep their power over society as written in Causes for Civil war and Failed Revolution in El Salvador,“The oligarchy made it clear that they would not give up their status in society, and that they would fight the masses , as well as discredit the military in order to maintain the status quo” ( Kyle 10). My dad was born in the small Central American nation of El Salvador, more specifically in Anamoros located on the east side of the country. He lived in the countryside so he often played with their animals, spent most of his childhood swimming in the rivers or playing soccer with his friends, and would frequently hang out with his grandparents in the afternoons. In 1980, when he was about 12 years old that all began to change, he and all those around him needed to be more cautious about their surroundings.
However, it took the Guatemalan military some time to actually suppress the violent uprisings and protests because of the intimidation they had received from the URNG (Guatemalan National Revolutionary Union), a group of socialistic radicals who thought that it was needed to take matters into their own hands by running, claming that the
Guatemala in 1960 would begin a civil war that would last for decades and since the Guatemalan civil war is very long only the initial years of the civil war will be discussed. According to John A., Booth, Wade, Christine J., Walker and Thomas W, “Colonel Castillo Armas, head of the National Liberation Movement (Movimiento de Liberación Nacional— MLN), assumed the presidency with the backing of the United States.” In 1954, Colonel Castillo Armas was a leader, that was backed up by the United States was pro-capitalism, and as the MLN dominated Guatemalan politics it had only favored the rich and upper middle class. According to John A., Booth, Wade, Christine J., Walker and Thomas W. “The MLN became a political party during the late 1950s, drawing together coffee plantation owners, municipal politicians and bureaucrats, owners of midsized farms.” Eventually Armas was assassinated, and General Miguel Ydígoras Fuentes became president. According to John A., Booth, Wade, Christine J., Walker and Thomas W. “Continued violence and corruption in the Ydígoras government prompted an abortive coup by
The Reagan administration substantially increased both military and economic aid to El Salvador. The civil war raged on in El Salvador, fueled by U.S. aid to the Salvadoran military. The government harshly repressed dissent, and at least 70,000 people lost their lives in killings and bombing raids waged against civilians throughout the countryside. The country's infrastructure had crumbled, and the nation. The government military also start force recruitment to the children who are already twelve years old for becoming the child soldier. so does the geurillas.
Start of the twentieth century it seemed like El Salvador finally establishes a viable government and began building an economy (Background, 2012). Then, the economic crisis of the 1930s occurs and the international markets plummeted and so did El Salvador. Externally, El Salvador was not a huge contender in global markets, but internally the social, political and economic environment in El Salvador was becoming tense and in 1932 the peasant workers in the rural countryside raised up against the land elites (Benavides, 2008). The
On the other hand, it has also made me less of the selfish person who I was before into an increasingly caring person. For an example, I put people before myself now because in El Salvador the people go beyond for their loved ones and friends. They go home with very little and still manage to have something and be happy. I do not hesitate to help more as well. When I had seen how much the kids do for their parents, I realized on how lazy and ungrateful I was to my mother. It made me want to get a job and help my mom with bills, which I did so exactly. Years later, what I have done to help the people out there is sending a huge box full of anything my family and I did not need every six months and filling it up with as much as we could.

The patient has just been prescribed Lisinopril by their physician. When assessing the patient’s current knowledge, the patient was only able to identify that Lisinopril does something with their blood pressure. Throughout its history Mexico has had many revolutions. The most famous perhaps is the Mexican Revolution from 1910-1920. The people of Mexico were getting tired of the dictator rule of President Porfino Diaz. People of all classes were fighting in the revolution. The middle and upper classes were dissatisfied with the President’s ways. The lower and working class people had many factors such as poor working conditions, inflation, inferior housing, low wages, and deficient social services. Within the classes everyone was fighting; men, women, and children all contributed to the fight for freedom from Diaz (Baxman 2). This revolution proved to be the rise and fall of many leaders.
The military is responsible for enforcement, which includes death squads, torture, and public execution. The big businesses who are able to extract an endless supply of 'minimum wage' labor, amass great wealth but instead of reinvesting it locally, most invest overseas or in capital intensive labor whereby local jobs are eliminated. Taking all this into effect and the fact that social classes and living conditions of many Central Americans are deteriorating rapidly leads some to rebellion. Some have taken a path of Passive rebellion. This can be seen in literature and popular music which questions the government.

Individuals within society are constantly strained by the way they should present themselves as they conform to their gender roles. For instance, is this outfit too tarty? What will people think if I wear it? Are the questions that several ladies ask themselves when choosing to clothe as they face the challenge of maintaining their femininity through the way they dress as they abide by their social constructions of gender (Holmes 2007).Subsequently, this essay seeks to explore to what extent the body is central to social organisation and control in relation to gender and will make reference to two theoretical approaches which include: biological essentialism and the social constructionist framework to aid the response. In order to further illustrate
