The American civil war brewing in the middle 19th century because of the varying views on slavery and also because of the growing sympathy for the abolition movement. But the American civil war was unofficially started when Abraham Lincoln was elected president (who was anti-slavery): slave states started seceding from the union. And when the shots at Fort Sumter were fired, the civil war had officially begun.
join hands in building the union. Although there was some opposition to slavery in the country, the government was willing to concede everything the South wanted regarding slavery to keep it in the Union. Given all these facts, the idea that the South seceded to protect slavery is as absurd as the idea that Lincoln fought the war to end slavery. Lincoln himself said in a famous letter after the war began that his sole purpose was to save the Union, and not to either save or end slavery; that if he could save the Union without freeing a single slave, he would. Nothing could be clearer.

What kind of life would slaves live? The north were the upper states of union. Also were the industrial section of the united states. On the other side, the south were the lower section of the union. Therefore, they were farmers and hard labor workers. Before the Civil War, African Americans living in America were seen and treated as lesser persons, primarily by not having voting rights and not being given equal treatment in relation to the law. When the war ended in 1865, many changes were made, some good and some bad. The bad that came from the war was that so much destruction was caused, specifically in the south; many means of transportation was ruined. Although the destruction caused a major setback, much good came about from the war, like the Thirteenth, Fourteenth, and Fifteenth Amendments. The Thirteenth Amendment, the amendment that ended slavery, states, “Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted,
The finish of the Civil War denoted the finish of subjugation for 4 million dark Southerners. Be that as it may, the war likewise left them landless and with minimal expenditure to help themselves. White Southerners, trying to control the freedmen (previous slaves), conceived uncommon state law codes. Numerous Northerners saw these codes as glaring endeavors to reestablish bondage. Five days after the Civil War finished, President Abraham Lincoln was shot.
The Civil war is known to be the bloodiest American War, one that has tainted our history forever and is so significant that is taught to young children. The war had started with the whole conflict on how slavery should be handled with, leading to a bunch of arguments up in the North and the South. Until the south had said “Enough!” and decided to make its separate government for they had no longer agreed to the constitution and government, this is how the war had started. This war was about whether the south should be able to separate from the Union, it was only until the Emancipation Proclamation that everything had changed. That is when finally, when President Abraham Lincoln had decided to make the war about slavery. He made it all about

Differentiating opinions have provoked many men to take up arms and fight their adversary. However, the motives behind taking up arms to fight, usually depended upon which side one was fighting on. As a result, the debate over the question, “Why was there a Civil War” is very complicated, but it can best be explained by considering the cultural differences between the Northern and the Southern States and examining their unwillingness to find acceptable solutions to settle their differences.
