Class Struggle In The Communist Manifesto By Karl Marx

The Communist Manifesto is a document comprised of four sections that address a variety of issues ranging from industrial production, wages, capitalism and the inevitable structure of society and politics. Karl Marx mentions how society is starting to naturally place itself in either the bourgeoisie or proletariat classification. One of the main ideas over the entire doctrine is that the working class needs to unite in order to defeat the state, with the overall goal being the destruction of class categorization. Karm Marx lead his doctrine was a powerful first sentence stating, “The history of all hithero existing society is the history of class struggles” (Manifesto); signifying a blunt call to an end of class struggles.
Karl Marx continues his doctrine by acknowledging that the bourgeoisie, “has historically played a most revolutionary part” shamelessly dividing man against nature, leaving man to solely rely on self-interest (Manifesto), describing how the bourgeoisie introduced the industrial revolution, revolutionizing instruments improving machinery, while also playing devil’s advocate by noting how the Bourgeoisie has, “reduced the family relation to a mere money relation” (Manifesto) and that, …show more content…

In the past we have read doctrines that were written by leaders who were straight forward in what they expect, giving ultimatums that frequently was hazardous to a person’s life, and questioning there loyalty. In a short section, Marx does take the time to list a brief list of rights thought to be ordinary, as previously seen in multiple past documents, but Marx does not list common grievances with a plain and direct solution; it is only mid-way through section two that Marx’s states, “the first step in the revolution by the working class, is to raise the proletariat to the position of ruling class, to win the battle of democracy” (Manifesto), Marx then discusses his plan in further
