Washing a Car for Idiots My car is always dirty from driving around in fields and dirt roads. I have had my license for just over a year now, and have discovered a three step process to make your car sparkle after you are done washing it. First you have to gather your materials, second you wash the car with soap, and third you dry your car off. There are many different types of supplies you can use to wash your car but i have found out that the basics do the same job as the fancy cleaning supplies. The most important supplies are a bucket, a large sponge, hose with running water, and soap. The brand of soap you use plays a big role in how shiny and clean your car will get. I have found that the best soap to use that is fairly priced and gives …show more content…
Take the hose out of the bucket and start spraying your car. To ensure that your don't miss any areas break your car up into five areas top ,two sides, front, and back. You start at the top of your car so that the dirt on top does not run down onto parts of the car that you have already cleaned. On the top of the car, first you wet the entire roof with water. Second grab you sponge that has been soaking in your soap and bubbles and cover the entire roof with suds. Third rinse off the top of the car Making sure no suds are left. After that re-soak your sponge in the bucket and re-apply to the roof. The reason you apply the suds to the roof twice it to ensure all the dirt is removed and it is thoroughly cleaned. After you finish the roof you can move on to the next section of your car. Repeat the same steps you did for the roof on each of the other four sections. This will ensure that all the dirt and grime is removed from the car. Once you have finished washing the body and windows of your car you can move down to the rims and tires. The tires and rims are washed last so that the sponge doesn't get gravel stuck in it and therefor the gravel will scratch the body paint on the car. The same process for washing the car is applied to the rims and tires.
The third step for having a clean and sparkling car is to hand dry the car after you are finished washing it. The reason you hand dry it is so no watermarks or soap stains are left behind. It usually takes about two beach towels to dry the whole car. To dry the car properly use the wax on wax off method that Mr. Miyagi taught in the karate kid. Once the car is wiped down take it for a sort drive around your neighborhood so that the wind can dry any spots that were accidentally

When hand washing my dirty truck, I tend to be more complexed about this process than probably most people. The most common and simplest way to wash a vehicle is to pull into a carwash and have the machine operated brushes was your vehicle. Another option is to whip out the water hose, manual brush, and towels to hand wash your vehicle. I prefer to hand wash my truck, but without a water hose.
Look at your vehicle. What if your used car could look like it did when it came off the line years ago? What if you could spend just one weekend and as little as $60.00 to make your car look new again? Unfortunately, people dismiss the task of painting their own car immediately because they feel that they won’t have the skill, money or time to do it. On the contrary, painting your car can be one of easiest and most cost effective repairs you can make on your vehicle. With a little research and a trip to the hardware store, anyone can do it. Knowing how to paint your own vehicle will enable you to restore it to its prime and substantially increase its retail value even if you have little available resources
In between waxing your car, you also need to regularly wash it. Bug splatters and tar need to be removed from the car. You should also make sure that you are waxing the vehicle by hand. Many car washes will spray your vehicle with wax, but this is not enough. This is just a thin application that may only last for a couple of
Once the mechanical systems of the car have been completed, the interior (passenger compartment) is the most logical step to complete next. The cloth that lines the roof is called the headliner. If it is in good shape, you are already half done.
Although the bodywork is the most time consuming of the whole process, it is the most important steps to having a perfect vehicle and paint job. To find every ding, paint chip, or scratch, the vehicle needs to be driven out into the sun to make it easier to see. After all the blemishes

If you have one, then you should be ready for the expenses associated with car wash and related cleaning accessories. Supercars and dirt don’t go together, and you’ll be terribly sorry if an inch of dirt or smudge will ruin the look of your flashy super car.
Keeping your parking lot nice and clean is important if you want it to be an attractive face for your company and if you want to prevent slips, falls and other problems. If you have found that getting your parking lot clean is a challenge these days, a well-done sealcoating can help a lot. Sealcoating can give your parking lot a nice, smooth surface, which will make it more resistant to oil and gas stains and can make it easier to clean overall.
Detailing the exterior of the vehicle to have all of the scratches buffed out and to have everything gleaming is ideal. You'll want to take pictures after it's been detailed, and you should maintain cleaning the tires and body of the car after as well.
Step4: Since there's more dirt on a car's sides and panels, use two plans. First, work from top to bottom of the car. Secondly, switch to a separate mitt or towel when getting to the bottom of the car, where there are dirtier areas. Switching to different mitts or towels keeps scratches to a minimum that is why it is important to do so. Thoroughly wet down the section of the car about to be washed, and dunk the cleaning mitt or soft cotton towel into the soap bucket. Wipe gently cleaning the roof, hood, and trunk of the car. Make sure to dunk the mitt or towel frequently, and shake it in the soap bucket to let the grime wash out. Rinse each surface after it's been washed by lightly misting it off with the hose. Rinsing as you finish washing is very important. Don't wash a section and then leave it to wash another section this is very bad practice. The dirty soap can dry on the surface of the car, and then you're back where you started!
It is important that the soap is designed for a car ‘s finish. Regular dish soap or detergent will not work. These soaps will strip the wax off your car and eventually dull the finish. I recommend Armorall brand soap. I have found that the best kind is called Quick Wash & Wax. This soap not only does a good job cleaning; it also has a wax in the formula that helps to keep your car clean. It repels dirt and doesn’t allow the dirt to stick to the paint. You can purchase this for about five to seven dollars. Now that you have the supplies, make sure you have running water and a water hose. You can use a spray nozzle but it is not crucial; you can do a good job with out it.
