it is so quiet compared to what i was prior encompassed by. as my eyes adjust and my surroundings come into focus i see strange scribble upon unknown items. where am i and what have i just walked myself into?
Not any creature. The alien from the old station. I felt a overwhelming depression. A tidal wave of feelings rising through me. It's eyes were... Mesmerizing. It said "Where is your leader." It could speak English?! But what he said was such a cliche, that, that I started laughing, manically. Scared and a overwhelming feelings of humor. My laugh turned to a cry. A wolf howling cry. The creature stared at me. Like its never seen something cry. But what did I expect. It picked me up. I struggled profusely. There were cords connected to my arms, like IV cords, but there was green sludge in them going into my arms. They just ripped off as he carried me away. I was too overwhelmed by the situation, I couldn't feel it. I saw blood trailing from my veins. I tried to look around. I could only move my head. It's claws carrying my legs looked like something out of Jurassic park. The metal walls went down like sliding doors. We were in the middle of the sky. "What!?" I was Confused. I got thrown out. Screaming. Colors started to appear. I was above a city!? In what time era was I in. It looked like, The early 2000's. Darkness. I awoke. In a bed. Scared. I couldn't move. A person walked in. I knew I was in a
“We should never forget that everything Adolf Hitler did in Germany was ‘legal’ and everything the Hungarian freedom fighters did in Hungary was ‘illegal’.” - Martin Luther King Jr. Not every law is right. Just because a law or a government allows something, it does not mean that what they allow is right. It is important for people to take a stand and fight for justice. Laws could prevent someone from doing what is right. A government could be doing wrong to it’s people, making them suffer. Governments could be taking away what rightfully belongs to someone as well.
1850 Compromise: Henry Clay began a series of resolutions on January 29th, 1850 to try to find a good compromise in order to avoid problems between Northern and Southern Americans. The slave trade in Washington D.C. was abolished and the fugitive slave act was amended.
Someone wearing a radiation suit came toward me and just stood there in front of me talking down notes and talking some weird language I have never heard before. He then started walking away and I jumped up and started calling to him but he didn’t respond to me. An hour later I remembered the tools that Carlos left in the cell next to mine when he was fixing it last time we had a leak.
"I see you have found me within the Evergreens, and chosen to enter my abode, rather than flee. With this, you have consciously or unconsciously decided noting on this material plane will satisfy you. As such," The shadow will stand, and its voice will fragment. "You will join us, and consume other malcontents for eternity."
“No, you're just going crazy. Stop hearing stuff, it's freaking me out.” said someone else from above.
A canvas with a pinky-white background, stretched out in front of me. It has red swirls and in the middle a human like figure. It looks as though it is someone in an eternal abyss. Around me is a dim lit room, the room has almost a medieval look to it. To my left is a cabinet with 3 locked doors each with their own material. To my right is a desk with stacks of papers payed upon it. Each one of these papers is a note, the top one says, “Why do we only talk in notes? You never come out of that room anymore.”
I grumble as I clean the attic , angry because I have to do it, so I figure I'll go through the stuff while doing it to keep myself interested. I find a box labeled FRAGILE DO NOT TOUCH so of course I have to touch. I open the box and am quite disappointed to find a crap ton of glass balls. I pick one up with a name on it. I start picking up more to see if the rest have names and I'm not disappointed this time. Each one has a different name on it. My arms become too full and I accidentally drop one and it busts, then out of nowhere there is this bright purple smoke that smells like old garbage. I cough and cover my nose. When the smoke clears away I see a man standing there. He's about 6 feet tall and has a expensive looking black suit
At times, we may find that the universe speaks to us. At other times, it howls, blares sirens, and lights the skies of our minds with a firework display. Discovering Vassar College was anything but coincidence; I can still hear the chiming echo of my fate calling as clear as day.
Rational thought was not something Metcalf had at his disposal at this point in the day, and even this point in his life. The dark, grim and seemingly endless walls felt like isolation, but in reality, he was still in an area with a massive population density. He stared blankly into space, but his peripheral vision was so off that he failed to notice a silhouette figure getting bigger and bigger to his right. He heard the sound of shoes crunching onto stones, but he was so high that he was hearing all sorts of noises. He was so distant with reality that he did not even notice the figure stop just metres away from him. “Are you okay?” Metcalf suddenly snapped out of his false reality the best he could, because the sound of a real voice
Mesmerizing, unique, and brilliant are just some of the many descriptions Vincent van Gogh’s Starry Night. Created in June of 1889, by the Dutch post-impressionist painter, van Gogh used oil paint on canvas to create this masterpiece. Gogh’s Starry Night is a landscape painting which is focused in three different parts: the sky, the mountains, and the town. He focused on the color blue throughout the painting from the sky to the mountains, but he also added a hint of yellow emitted by the stars and the moon and the bold blacks and dark reds of the cypress tree on the left. The sky is filled with numerous shades of blue and bright shining stars as well as the illuminating moon. The mountains are painted with strokes of blue, which creates the
“Brendon there are some very kind people here to help you get rid of your visions please just come meet them “
Checking my surroundings I took that I am Lost in a maze. As the light Flitted through small openings in the ceiling. I stood up and took one step and am taken aback by a platform that comes through a floor tile and on the platform is a tape recorder that is modified with cell phone parts. The screen becomes active and says ¨one message listen now?¨ I press the button that says listen and the dark voice that haunts my memory says ¨ Welcome new person try to find you way out of the maze. We are sorry about your memory try to regain it as fast as you can. Now grab the bracelet so you can always receive messages. Welcome to the maze. ¨ With that the screen went dead and the platform dispensed a bracelet and a backpack with some supplies.
Now missing the balcony it would just be a drop onto the street if we went back. My eyes burned and smoke kept pouring in, some guards at the back closest to it I couldn’t see anymore. Everything was black or gray, some dark shapes I could see laying on the floor. I turned hysterical, I’m going to die here. These poor men are going to die because of who I am. Some of those men probably are dead already, if we could just stop the smoke keep it from coming in. My throat hurt and I covered my mouth trying to breathe more oxygen in than smoke. It didn’t help. I felt a ball of something warm inside me well up and realized it was my power just like when it first appeared a few days ago. Hope surged as I thought of how now I could help us I could stop this. But as I kept pulling at it trying to make something come out anything useful at all, it would quickly snap back into the ball and I couldn’t keep a hold of it. No, no, no, not now
