You can have your name engraved on a paving stone for only $5,000. If you think that is fascinating, for $350,000 an entire viewing platform can be named after you. As a child, Tesan Slope was exceptionally smart at solving puzzles similar to that of a murder case. He was inspired by the one and only fictional detective, Sherlock Holmes. However, being inspired by an investigator was unusual for a boy like him in his school. Tesan was bullied on multiple occasions during class, but at recess, that was the worst time of the day for Tesan. During recess, the children would constantly call him names like “Tesan Holmes,” which bothered him a lot because he did not want to be compared to his inspiration Sherlock, but through these rough times, he became the worlds best investigator. In sunny California one thing you do not expect to see is cold gloomy weather, yet for about four consecutive days Chino Hills saw enough rain to make the dry hills of Chino Hills green again. Chino Hills faced harsh rainstorms with even some random appearances of hail. How did this effect school? Students still had to go to class and continue their daily schedule, but places like the parking lot saw severe flooding. Many cars looked like boats or submarines, as they were more than wheel deep in rainwater. Roads also faced the harshness of the rain as they were damaged with potholes and cracks that seemed to grow every rainy day. Mount Shasta towers at 14,162 feet, remains snow-capped throughout the year and is often shrouded in oddly shaped lenticular clouds, or fierce storms that hide it from view. -Go to the mountain tops for views and pictures. These are short lived experiences on the AT and often the views are blocked by the trees. Sometimes there are open rock/cliff areas for fantastic views. However, these rock areas can have more threats than the valleys. Snakes love to hangout on the rocks and if you slip off a cliff, it could ruin your day. In life, we often strive to reach the mountain tops thinking life will be easy. Many times it’s just chasing the wind for a short lived experience and the threats may be higher on the mountain top than in the valley.
But after a moment, I realized that it's actually quite beautiful. The ridge continues as a far as the eye can see and towers above the city. The dunes look like they were carved by an artisan. The beaches are lined with breaking waves.
