CCIB received correspondence from reporting party (RP) stated that he has been investing the owner of this Independent Living facility, Elvira Ferreria, who currently has a hospice resident who requires 24 hour care. Ms. Ferreria has billed the resident's family for her services (2 checks have been written on the resident's account by Ms. Ferreria). When interviewed last week by RP, Ms. Ferreria acknowledge she was acting as an unlicensed facility back in 2015. Ms. Ferreria also currently has another hospice resident in this home (no names provided for either resident). RP stated that Ms. Ferreria stated that she regularly receives resident from UCSD.

The current economic event on the increase in the National government debt has become of interest to the public and the decision makers. It was amazing how the Northern Group practices came together as a family for this patient; not only were all of us in the administrative part of the office working on this case, but the office manager from Northern Pediatrics came out of her way to go through this complicated website to assist with the approval. I saw first-hand how these small town medical office personnel fought for this patient to be seen and how much they each cared, it was breathe taking. I’m not certain if the approval for care went through or not, but I do know that the patient received care with or without knowing how the services would be paid for. I did ask what would happen if Medicaid did not approve the services provided, without worry or concern of payment Gail simply stated that the office would have to write off the charges. How these offices communicated and worked together for this patient was like something from a book or movie. I know my family has had an effect on who I am as being individual and who I will become a counselor. One reason I feel confident about working in the forensics is that I have thick skin and it is not a lot that I cannot handle. I have learned one’s family can have an effect on them and I am empathic to those who have family struggles whether big or small because it makes a difference. Also, I am aware of how hard it is to break the family cycle and deviate from the negative family traits.

According to my perspective, I think the most important thing I have learned was to know the process of admission to get into MSW and Nursing program. Earlier, I had no idea about a nurse’s or a social worker’s academic and admission criteria’s. However, now I know such as that before getting into the nursing program, a student has to take the placement exam, known as TEAS examination. Also, a nurse cannot practice nursing as an intern before they graduate, on the other hand we as a student pharmacist can practice pharmacy as an intern after successful completion of P-3 year and we also get an intern license. A social worker has to take LMSW exam to practice their profession. I think it is important that we know all these basic informations

Upon reflection, I feel that I continuing to accomplish my objectives. This year I created a tutorial on how to locate information in the high school LMC and posted it to the high school LMC website so students and teachers can have access to it at any time. I have continued to keep current on technology, research, and library media trends continually reading journals and educational technology websites. I have continued to inform teachers about new technologies, lesson plans, common core, and literacy information. Since this past year was my first year as the only library media specialist in the district serving all four schools, I also starting informing the elementary teachers about those resources listed above. The elementary teachers have also told me through talking with them and surveying them that they appreciate all the information I send to them. Some teachers are now coming to me and asking if I know of any resources that they can use with their students. They say that they do not have the time to go out and keep current with all the new technology that can be incorporated into classroom
