Hypothesis: Null Hypothesis : There is no significant relationship on the relationship of the 11 core competencies and grades in NCM 101 and 102 of the sophomore students from the college of nursing. Alternative Hypothesis : There is a significant relationship on the relationship of the 11 core competencies and grades in NCM 101 and 102 of the sophomore students from the college of nursing. Level of Significance : 0.05 Significance of the Study The study is significant to the following: Nursing Practice. The study can help student nurses in understanding their strengths and weaknesses in relation to their application of the core competencies in their academic and clinical performance. It can also serve as an eye-opener to the students so that they may develop their application of the core competencies. Nursing Education.
