Coca-Cola has launched a multimedia campaign to promote its sponsorship of the London 2012 Olympic torch relay. (marketingweek, 2012). Moreover now it is one of the popular music show in Asia. These days Coca Cola and its competitor Pepsi Co. have frequently focused on sporting events to promote their brands younger people because it is the attractive way to campaign this time (marketing week, 2010). Analysis of market situation: Market share of Coca Cola Company: The Coke brand had roughly 17% market share in the U.S. in 2009. It’s much higher than its competitor Pepsi CO. which had less than 11% market share in 2009 (trefis 2011). In 2010 coca cola generated $9.5 billion in cash from operations, up 16 per cent over 2009. In 2010 coca cola had 42.0% of market share whereas PepsiCo. had 29.3%, Coca cola gained market share further in 2011 (thecoca-colacompany 2011). According to Nielsen coca cola had 63.3% market share in 2011(brandrepublic, 2012). Market strategy: The Coca Cola Company has adopted a global marketing strategy.
