The cool air swept past me, blowing my thick, long, mousy brown hair into my bright green eyes, obstructing my vision. I hastily spat the straying hairs out of my mouth as I stared intently into the thick, dark forest. Coldwater was a small town, only about 650 people; everyone knew everyone, what they were doing, who they were seeing, the gossip of the town. Over the years only a few people ever went missing and when they did, it was when they ran into the forest, a death wish if you ask me. Some say that they were going crazy, some that they were chronically depressed, but I disagree, to me it was because they were curious. The first one to run, Zack Tate, I think his name was, I’ll never know why he ran into the forest, the place practically screams out creepy, we waited for his return, but it never came. …show more content…

Then it stopped, people suddenly realised that they weren’t getting anywhere at all, they realised that here in the small town that was called Coldwater, Curiosity really did kill the cat. Well, it did stop, that is up until about three years ago, a boy aged sixteen had the bright idea that he would go into the death trap called the forest. Now this boy had the life any teenage boy could possibly want, he had clear skin, perfect build, he was quarterback of the football team, the most popular boy in high school, and lets be honest, he had girls practically falling at his feet. Though it may not have seemed like it, he had a flaw, as tiny as it might have been, the flaw had cost him everything he ever had, and that flaw was curiosity.
