The age range in the center is six weeks to age 12, however, they do have a preschool and kindergarten program. Once children are school age they have a before and after school care program. Her view is that the center is not simply a place for babysitting. No matter the age, each classroom teacher must have a lesson plan in place for each day and they follow a schedule as well. The lesson plans need to be filled with educational aspects, activities to development motor skills, and more specific activities that are tailored to the age. Family relationship building is something that is also important as a part of her
The adult role in the scenario was okay but it could have been better. The only time the caregivers responded to the children when they were doing something they were not supposed to do. When you around children you should always be communicating with them this helps their language skills. The caregivers stayed in one spot on the carpet. When your involved around children there should be a lot of movement. You should not just move because they are about to hurt their self. Some families might believe that the scenario with the two toddlers with the ball is teaching them how to share. I like how the caregiver was able to get to the children before they hurt their self or anybody else. When the two children was playing with the one ball the caregiver
In my first experience with MOVE, I opted to socialise with the children and colleagues that are participating in this organisationso we get to know each other better. Once I got to know mycolleagues and the children we went to Buskett gardens by van. The children were split into three groups and I was assigned to take care of the children. Activities were done such as delivering rocks to a certain point in creative ways, making tapas (Spanish food) and trying to drop an egg at a height of three metres without breaking it. The team that scored the most points from these three activities had won the challenge.
* As a childcare provider this would mean treating all children and their families or carers with respect and dignity irrespective of their colour, creed or special needs that the child or adult might have etc. and ensuring that opportunities to learn and develop are obtainable to all based on their particular level of development.
A perfect situation for the social, passionate, and formative development of small children and adolescents does not generally exist in today's public. Families with multiple problems concerning abuse or the common welfare of a child mainly contribute to this field. The welfare system is setup to deal with minors until they have reached the age of eighteen. Being taken from your home can be a very traumatic and strenuous process, which can lead to the exposure of physical debasement and psychological impairment. Prior to a minor being removed from a family, every case must be displayed under the steady gaze of a judge, and that judge must concur that the state is inside its lawful rights to evacuate the child. Every child needs to be treasured, protected and nurtured. Unfortunately, some parents can't -- or won't -- care for their children. When they neglect or abuse them, someone must step in to ensure the children's safety. That's the job of DFCS, along with the police and the courts. - "Child Abuse & Neglect." Division of Family and Children Services. N.p., n.d. Web. 07 Sept. 2016.

I have worked with infants and toddlers for four years now. Working with infants and toddlers has been fascinating. It has been fascinating witnessing how much these young individual can do, besides eat and sleep. When infants first start the program it seems like that is all they do, eat and sleep, but in reality they are learning to recognize the environment, voices, and faces. Working with this age group is a combination of care and education. As their primary caregiver, it is my responsibility to care for them and meet their individual needs. I plan individualized activities to help them enhance their skills and expand their curiosity. I learned that I am more patient than what I thought. It is important to stay calm when working

Levi has finally gotten out of his “shy” stage. He now interacts with children at his preschool without having any problems. Often times, Levi is the leader of the group when it comes to playtime. I was delighted to hear that his leader position Levi has stepped into has not been a problem. The specialist that evaluated Levi James thought that he had a likable personality and that I should allow Levi to have playdates with other children from his preschool. In the past, Levi made it difficult to leave him at his daycare. Now, he gets excited about seeing the other children at his preschool. When I decided to approach Levi to explain that it was no longer acceptable to throw tantrums when I left him at daycare, I simply told him he could not

Employees’ are struggling to find the right balance between employment and family. Dual-income and single-parent households are leaving their children in low-quality, unreliable childcare that doesn’t meet the satisfaction children need to develop, and this ends up causes parents to be stressed and less productive at their job. Employers are taking steps to help employees with young children to either prove on-site childcare, or by proposing a Flexible spending account (FSA) to assist with childcare expenses. Quality childcare is not only important for the child, it will provide employers reliable employees which affects their bottom line of the company.
