The biggest challenge in life is being yourself in a world that tries to make you like everyone else. Conquering the greatest plains on earth, and solving the devious mysteries of mankind is what I consider living life. Working a 9 to 5 like an average joe was never an option for me. My vision is what makes me different. My drive for success fuels my work ethic because I do not want my children to experience pain and suffering. I want my life to be the pinnacle of perfection for other people. In my life I’ve been through many trials and tribulations. At the age of 4, I lost my closest friend, my father. It changed my perception of the world,I noticed there were greater opportunities available in life. Things far more superior than what’s going on in my own town, state, or country. If I wanted to obtain greater opportunities in life I would have to excel at the smaller things first.
My life has been an ongoing stuggle, but my hard work, determination, and enthusiasm for my education have enabled me to pursure my dreams. My academic plans are to major in pre-occupational therapy. After graduating and completing the prerequisite, I plan to obtain a license in Occupational Therapy by attending OT School. Success does not come from a pay check. For me, helping and assisting others acheive their goals is the purest form of success. I want to travel and eventually settle down in my hometown. My overall career goal is to give back to the community that shaped me into the person I am. Goals, goals, goals they're what people think about and how they are going to achieve them in the future. My three goal in life are to get in the college of my choice, go skydiving and to get a well paying job. These three goals are important to me because they are what I am likely to achieve within the next ten years. As I grow and blossom into someone big, someone bigger than who I am today I don’t mean just physically but bigger intellectually, and more capable. These goals show me that if I want to achieve them, then I have to work hard to accomplish them.
A dream come true I graduated from high school on 2002 and I never stop thinking about going back to school and finish a career. Being married for almost 13 years and after 3 kids I finally did it;
From a young age, I have never particularly excelled in any field. I was an average student and average at all of my so-called talents. However, my perception of myself changed in 7th grade when I joined the Debate club at my school. That one club helped me realize my potential and taught me not to underestimate myself. During my journey in that club, I learned a lot of things. Having needed to debate on various issues around the world, this club was an eyeopener to the privileged life I lived. It was that year I made a decision to make this passion of mine into a career- a human rights lawyer.It is has been 3 years since I took that decision and my passion hasn't diminished. Ever since that year, I have strived to be the best version of myself
I know I will be successful in college because of the commitment I have given to my academics, and believe my grades reflect my dedication. For two semesters in a row, I have received a Certificate of Excellence for having a grade point average of 4.0 or higher in both the spring and fall semesters of 2016. In my final term of high school, I am working to achieve that same recognition. Additionally, I feel learning is not just about the time spent in school, but what happens outside the classroom. The diverse extra-curricular activities I have participated in range from athletic teams, to volunteerism, to leadership responsibilities. I pride myself in experiencing a plethora of adventures that have helped me mature as a student, athlete, and
Planning for Success Who am I personally, after 50 years of being me, I am still a work in progress. I grew up in a tiny ski resort town, on the Appalachian Mountains, in New Jersey. My father grew up in New Jersey, but my mother is from Havana Cuba. My father never graduated from High School, but my mother did. They did not believe in higher education, especial for girls. They wanted us to get married and start a family, I always knew that was not for me. So I followed my dreams and traveled the world. Meeting exciting, educated people all along the way, my travels showed me all the things that I had been missing out on living in a tiny town. By traveling, I learned how to live independently, be frugal, and enjoy life, that is what made me a strong woman. My weakness is, that I wear my heart on my sleeve, I am temperamental, and no confidant.
Thank you for writing that letter to me, sorry I had not written to you in a while. School and other things have kept me occupied. Somedays I had school from 8:am to 9:pm, and I had other projects and papers to write as well. Back in October I applied to the nursing program, and by the grace of God I was accepted into the nursing program. It was a very joyous moment in my life. I will begin nursing school in January, they typically do a White Coat Ceremony for the new nursing students, I will send you a picture of that. Also I finished this school semester strong, I passed with all A’s and kept my 4.0 GPA, as well I made it on the Dean’s List again. Please pray for me, as this program is rigorous and challenging.
For the first year I would need $5,745 for tuition, $10,196 for room, and $1,300 for books $865 for fees. I should be considered for this scholarship because I want to be successful in college; I don’t want to be stressed for lack of money. I know I
As a student, I am very well rounded. I am always prepared and thinking ahead of what I need to do. I’m very picky with everything I do. No one wants to take me shopping because if it ain’t perfect I don’t want it. I’m also very organized. I keep a tight schedule every day. I work hard for everything I want. I make dinner every night for my family of 5. I also like to bake but I never end up getting any with 3 boys in the house. Anyways, I work hard for the things I deserve and I am very picky about what I end up getting. I don’t like much help unless I really need it. I always turn things in early or on time. If my work isn’t perfect, it’s not good enough. I usually don’t settle for anything less than an A. My brothers call me an overachiever.
As much as I consider myself a person who relishes in the present and finds the best in everything I encounter, I constantly find myself thinking about the future. My mind is always busy throughout the day; I am always planning out my homework schedule for the night, wondering what my mom will make for dinner, and daydreaming about the future and what it may hold for me. I am a naturally positive person, and because I subconsciously spend so much time thinking about the future, both short term and long term, I am always optimistic about the possibilities. I like to keep an open mind to all of these possibilities, and I consistently look for the best reality possible. By looking at my future and remaining optimistic about it, I am able to set goals for myself in order to help myself achieve what I need and want to achieve.
