They say college isn’t for everyone, but is it for you? To have a successful life, college is a stepping stool for your path onto greatness. In college you learn the specific ways to do a job or that career you always wanted. Anything you do in life will reflect on how well you compose yourself, college is a good way to work on that. College also helps with financial needs when you leave high school.

College is a beneficial, life changing event for most people who choose to attend. College is like a life coach breathing intelligence into its students making it easier to navigate through life. College not only provides students with an education, but college also helps foster life skills. A college degree not only provides stable career opportunities which come with: benefits, promotion opportunities and higher wages, but a degree also allows graduates to choose their own career paths and passions. The college experience provides students with plenty of fun social opportunities to form long lasting relationships, make lifelong friends, and long time memories which help enhance social skills. College helps enrich the lives of many.

College is an important place that can lead us to a bright and successful future. College success is more than academics; for us it’s learning how to become an adult for the first time in our life. The cost of going to college may seem overwhelming at times however, the experiences and education obtained throughout college is priceless in regards to the way one interacts with others on a global basis, has a stronger job stability, and has better employment benefits.

In the last decade, students and parents alike have begun to question the effectiveness of receiving a college education. Stories of students graduating college with outstanding student loans, being unable to find a job, or feeling overqualified for a position continually increase. In the same manner, the number of students apprehensive about refraining from entering the workforce for an additional four years while simultaneously spending thousands of dollars for an education that in the end may not assure them a job with an adequate income, increases. The issue then is to determine whether or not the cost of college is worth the outcome.

The answer is because the majority of us want to go to college and hopefully pursue a career that we'd enjoy. So, why is it that just 65% of us obtain a college degree. Consequently, this has lead to difficulties for families to pay for the immense cost of college. Through college you learn many skills that will help you in your career. One reason I want to go to college is that more jobs are available after completing college. Many employers look for a college diploma on a résumé when hiring. I want my future job to interest me and this will help. With more options I can get a job that pays good and interests me. This way I will enjoy going to work everyday. I also need good pay so that I can get the things I need. Of course this all will help provide for myself. For example, food is an obvious priority. Also, I need clothing and a home. Overall college is a great way to prepare for a job, provide for my everyday needs and get a career that interests me.

In conclusion, while going to college can create debt for some students and may not be the right choice for others, the benefits of going to college provide a large number of benefits.
