As a freshman this year I have achieved some accomplishments from just part of the school year. One of these achievement would be getting cast as one of the main orphan in “Annie,” for the musical production. Prior to that role I was cast as a snow flurry in the “Snow Queen,” the fall play. An academic achievement would have to be getting “distinguish honor roll” the first half of the semester. Some other accomplishments were making varsity in cheerleading, meeting new people, and being able to obtain good grades during middle school and the first half of 9th grade.
Areas that I would like to improve on would be to be more sociable, presentations, and being more proactive. Being more sociable means to me is to try to get to know someone better, like if they’re new, and to not judge, ignore, or not speak to them. I need to be more open to new things and people. Presentations scare me, ever since 6th grade. I never liked them. I have been trying to work on my fear and to not be so afraid and nervous when I have a presentation. Being proactive would

Going to the teacher to ask questions is something that I thought is important to do, especially now I’m in high school. It is important because if you don’t get the lesson or the material, you can always go to them for help. And I don’t want to get bad grades because I didn’t know something, but I could have asked the teacher beforehand. It is also good to learn to go to a teacher, if you were absent and get any assignment, notes, or work that you missed. The other skill that I have learned to use was to be organized. Being organized is helpful to me because I know what I am going to do each day. It’s helpful, when being organized, to know where papers are and to know what needs to be done each day so no assignments are late. I will carry out this skill, probably, throughout my
Being organised will ensure successful completion of qualifications. Its helps me to know what is expected and helps to be prepared to meet those expectations.Once organised, I will not only be prepared to respond effectively, I’ll also find that organisation allows me to be more creative and productive.Organisation consists of prioritising my objectives making them easier to handle. For example delegate tasks that are not my
There is a certain criteria which a college must meet in order for me to feel that a truly beneficial education can be gained from it, and with the costs that go into college it is highly important that this criteria be met. My first choice school would have definitely met my personal requirements, but in the event that admission to this college was not granted to me my previously used checklist would be applied to my three options in order to determine the best school for me.
Also when you're in a hurry to get your books being organized helps you get your books quicker. What also helps with being organized is when you file graded papers, you probably wouldn't like to have to redo an assignment you've already done because a teacher forgot to put in a grade, would you? When you file your papers you can make sure that you always have
The Economic, Social, and Political Impact of the First World War on Europe At the end of the First World War in 1918, the economic, social and political state of Europe was such that the potential rebuilding of the continent seemed a distant and unrealistic vision. The war had affected much of Western Europe, in particular France and Germany, not to mention Belgium, Italy and Austria. In addition vast regions of Eastern Europe also suffered dearly as Russia’s bloody involvement in the war took its toll.
College will be a major change for me; in all likelihood, it will probably be the most significant transformation I will experience. It will be a time of growth and learning. In order to adapt to these many changes I hope to mature both emotionally and spiritually. In doing so, I will influence those around me and the community as a whole. I anticipate that my life experiences will prove to be valuable to me and to those I come into contact with.
Many advances in technology have helped minimize the time it takes to do something. But because we can lessen the time it takes for us to do something it makes time for more objects to be added in. Therefore it takes away the space we have left for other activities and events. This can sometimes cause conflict between people and yourself. But, being organized can unify time and space and it helps with things that were once not yet developed and have grown into to something that can globalize cultures and economics.
Everyone has a legacy. A legacy is like a message in a bottle, something you leave behind to be discovered again. It’s a story that people are remembered by, whether it’s a work of art or a famous quote. It’s an impact you leave for a place or a person. A legacy is like a treasure chest; all you have to do is unlock it. I want to make my own legacy so I’ll be remembered for something. It doesn’t matter what it is, I just want to leave a positive mark on this school.
It seems in the society we live in today, having a college degree is a necessity. Years ago it was the norm for people to just go right into a full time job after high school, if they even finished high school; they did this to support their families. In today’s society a person has a difficult time getting a decent job without a college degree. During an adults working life, bachelor degree graduates will earn about $2.1 million and a high school graduate can expect to earn an average of $1.2 million (Day and Newburger, 2002). This is quite a difference and it puts a college education in
As a requisite to write my feature paper, I interviewed Emma Ann Davey, who’s an eighth grade student at Vilas Middle School. Davey, born on February 25, 2004 at the local Keene hospital, Dartmouth on an early Wednesday morning at 4:30am. She describes herself as organised she thinks of herself as organized because, “I organize all my stuff and my room everyday, I can't sleep in my room if it's a mess.” Being organized can be a difficult task for some but for others is a habit. A highly used website called Merriam-Webster Dictionary, states that being organized is, “having a formal organization to coordinate and carry out activities.” Being an organized person overall can help you in the lang run.
The form of change was educating the mass population and professionals of the issue of domestic violence. According to Asmus, Ritmeester, & Pence (1991) the power and control diagram a tool to understand the patterns of abusive and violent behaviors. These partners are used to gain and maintain control over their partners. Physical and sexual abuse is not the only forms of abuse. There are variety types of abuse such as emotional abuse, which is playing mind games, humiliating, and name-calling. Another major sign of abuse is isolation. Controlling what their partner does, limiting contact with family and friends, and using jealously to justify their actions. These are a few patterns that are not always noticeable, however with the diagram
One area where I believe I have room for improvement is having difficult conversations. This is an area that may arise in multiple aspects of life, although I have found I encounter it most at work. Throughout my working experience, I have had to have quite a few very difficult conversations and I always find them hard. I would much rather give good news, and be positive and encouraging, than have to relay upsetting news. However, there are situations where you just have to give bad news. This is an area I have worked to improve throughout my professional career, but I still experience a feeling of dread when I know I am going into a difficult conversation.
Throughout my high school career I have been able to accomplish several of my personal goals. One of the goals that I accomplished was being on the honor roll every nine weeks throughout my four years of high school. With maintaining a spot on the honor roll, it has earned me a grade point average of a 3.214 out of a 4.0 scale. Another goal that I accomplished for myself was, being able to participate in school actives such as the varsity scholastic bowl team and the Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America. This was an accomplishment for me because while I was participating in these organizations, I was also able to give back to my community and the people in it. The last accomplishment that I have achieved throughout my high school career, was being able to gain acceptance into the college of my dreams, that I will be attending in the fall of 2016.
