When I think back to when I was in college, nothing but good memories comes to mind. College was by far the best time of my life. If I could sum it up, college would be the best four year party that I will ever attend. I remember it like it was yesterday; going to class, playing football and pretty much being a kid, but this time mom and dad wasn’t around to tell you your bedtime. Even though college was a blast, the effects of college played a huge role in molding me to the young man I am today. By choosing to go to college and graduate, I was able to do something nobody in my family has ever done before, and that was play a collegiate sport. I was also able to walk away with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Civil Engineering Technology. But every good story must come to an end, but in this case, every great four year party must come to an end. When that party ended, I also was left with a fat bill called student loans. If I knew as an 18 year old kid what debt I would be getting myself into, things might have been a little different. The effect of me going to college brings me to my first love, football. I played the game of football since I was 4th grade. It never dawned on me that one day it would take me to college. I played four years as a strong safety for the Colorado University-Pueblo Thunderwolves, three of them as a starter. As an individual I was able to garner various all-conference and all-regional awards. But all of that doesn’t even come close
