Colombia Colombia, which is the 28th largest country in the world, is the second largest country in South America, and has more than 46 million people living there. It is also the third largest Spanish-speaking country in the world (US). “Colombia is situated in South America, bordered by Panama, Ecuador, Peru, Venezuela, Brazil, the Caribbean, and the Pacific Ocean” (Colombia Weather). Between the Caribbean and the Pacific, the country has the most bio diverse land, which includes the Rainforest and the Andes mountains (US). Three ranges of the Andes Mountains run through Colombia, and it ends in the lower places of the Caribbean. There are marshes and rugged mountains along the southern Pacific coast. The temperature does not change throughout the year very much, but the altitude of Colombia affects it a little. In the mountains and higher grounds, it is cold, and later in the year the nights can be very chilling. Bogotá, which is the capital of Colombia, never changes from the spring conditions. The weather in Bogotá can be cold or hot depending on the time of day. The traditional clothing of the Quechuan women are Pre-Spanish and Spanish Colonial type dresses, and almost every Quechuan man wears a poncho as tradition. Kuna women wear blouses that had been hand-made, and they color their faces up with a special paint. The Kuna men just wear pants, jeans, or shorts that related to their tradition. People in Colombia also wear Sombrero Vueltiao, which is a turned hat, and it related to their heritage. Native Colombians wear the Rurana, which is something you wear on the outside, and it is very thick and sleeveless. During festivities or a wedding ceremony, the women wear the Pollera, which is made up of many bright colors
