I have been in a few school activities. One of the main activities that I have been involved in is Color guard. Since my sophomore year, I have been on the guard and participating in all of the competitions with the band. It is a great way to get involved, make new friends, and create new experiences. I am also in my school’s National Honor Society which is an organization that consists of the top academic scholars. We do volunteer work and do activities that display integrity. We have done blood drives as well as packaged food for Kids Against Hunger. That is another organization that people can do to help package food for children across seas that don’t have any source of nourishment. I am an active thespian which is a group of sorts that is dedicated to the fine arts. I have been one since my freshmen year and have been either stage manager or assistant stage manager for two plays and three musicals. I plan on attending either Hastings College or the University of Nebraska-Kearney in the fall to further my education after high school. Doing well in school has always been a huge priority in my life. I plan to major in Genetics because I love to be able to work in a lab where I can learn new things daily and help others. Ever since I was little I was in love with science, so I feel like that is why I started to gravitate towards genetics more when I started high school. I felt like I had a connection with the field in that I was meant to do something involving science in my life. The next step in my career plan consists of mainly going to school to get my degree in Biology and then continuing on to Grad school for another few years. After I complete my schooling I will be searching for a job pertaining to genetics. The main goal for my future would have to be, being able to work with children and families who are struggling with genetic

I have been involved with in our school and our community. In our school I was nominated for head of Prom committee this year. This position is quite stressful but I would not have it any other way. I enjoy being able to help and put my mark on it for our school. I brainstorm for fundraisers, activities, and small jobs our class can do to raise money. I also get to choose our revenue, theme for prom, and decorations. I do all of this within out tight budget. I
When I'm not in school I have Since my freshman year I have been doing marching band. As a sophomore I took my position as a upperclassman to help my freshman to the best of my ability. I help the freshman in my section to read drill, marching techniques, and how to play the music. While doing that I also do activities with my Girl Scout troop. I have been in Girl Scouts since the 4th grade and that has been a wonderful learning experience. From learning the ways of sales, to taking educational trips around the state i have grown in skill and character. Also for the last 3 years I have been the 2nd in highest cookie sales so that has been been very beneficial. Then during the summer I volunteer at the Durham Art's Council's Summer Camp as
At school, I like to participate in schoolwide activities. I enjoy fundraisers, donating, and other activities that benefit the community. I also enjoy participating in interactive activities because I want to be a leader in the classroom and also be a leader outside the classroom. I like working in groups to interact with others in my class.
The activities that I participate in are National Honor Society, track, cross country, and I am the captain of the dance team. I also work as a kennel worker at the Mulvane Animal Clinic. I plan to attend Cowley for nursing to become a Certified Nurse Midwife. My Senior Project is about midwives and their methods.
Even though I don't participate in extracurricular activities in school, I devote a lot of time to Church activities. I teach four and five-year-olds in Sunday School, sing in the Youth Choir, and participate in the Christmas play and Kid's Camp. I also volunteer at garage sales and food/bake sales that are organized in order to raise money for missionary trips. Additionally, I work as a tutor at Multicultural Community Resource Center where I help high school students with their work and help improve their math, reading and writing skills. I have received the Amelia Earhart Scholarship
Another activity I participated in was Student Council. I was elected treasurer my junior and senior year. This meant that I was in charge of budgeting for dances. Considering I was in charge of the money, I often was the one decorating for dances as well. We also run the food can drive and Little Kids Christmas. Little Kids Christmas is about giving gifts to children who are less fortunate in the Norwalk community. This includes anything from low income to a parent in the military overseas. We also fundraise for the Norwalk leadership scholarship through activities like the Lakewood Lock In, where Lakewood students pay a small fee for a night of fun activities.
In addition to student organization participation, I am involved in the school musical and the golf team. In both of these activities,
Even as a young girl, I have always been fascinated with how the world works and the gears that make everything flow in perfect harmony. Because of this, I have taken 7 credits worth of science courses during my high school years and have also participated in many extracurricular activities in the name of science. Other than science, history (specifically ancient and medieval) and music have been interesting academic subjects to my brain and heart. I enjoy lectures and learning about how the world has developed, both scientifically and socially. Due to specific events I have experienced throughout my life, my career goal is to become a geneticist to better understand genetic disorders and how I could possibly treat them. The anatomy and internal
All throughout my life, I have danced and when I turned 8 I joined the competition team at my studio. I had so many great experiences doing that so I joined the dance team at my school my junior year. My sophomore year I joined HOSA, a health occupation club, and competed at state for 2 years, then making it to internationals my senior year for my groups PSA. In HOSA I had many volunteer opportunities, such as helping run multiple blood drives and donating too. I volunteered my mornings before school to sell coffee to pay for our trip to state all three years in the club. Through HOSA I also volunteered to help at a marathon and sell carnations for valentine’s day. MY senior year became a public relations officer for HOSA and really enjoyed running it and help lead the group. I participated in Mathletes my senior year to make more friends and learn more math, then by the end of the year I was a captain for the JV team.
Within my team we went to build boat for a boat regatta at a community center where we learned to work together we started from scratch with duct tape and cardboard and had to build the boat up to wear any size person could fit in it. The boat did hold soon as my friend got in it tipped and all the tape came out and the cardboard got wet but it was fun and helping the community out was fun to. We also started attended other school events to help support and show school spirit you can get with the wild west which is our school fan club you dress up to any theme from hawaii theme to super

As I grow up, other different things started to influence me making me think that I should wait a little longer to choose my career, so I decided to work a few years after High School until I decided which direction I should take. After my first step was to pursuit my associate degree in Biotechnology, with this degree I was able to learn many different subjects related with genetics. I remember that when we were learning about genetic disorders I wished to be able to help people with conditions that I affect their lives. When I was doing my Biotechnology required to do a internship and mine was at IDEXX laboratory, they do
One school related activity that shows my eagerness to serve others in my school is the Autism Awareness fundraiser for Drama Club. We went around the school and around the community and raised money for a family with a son with autism. With the money we went and bought a sleeping bag and a teddy bear to help the boy sleep, and few toys just for him to enjoy . I helped acquire a large amount of money for donation. The fundraiser went from March 13-17th, lasted the whole school day
I have the lead role in the musical this year, I play the clarinet at school for band, and I am in choir. I am in the Social Justice Team for my school and we organize fundraisers for different campaigns (e.g. We Scare Hunger, We Are Silent, We Are Rafikis) part of Free The Children. Last year and the year before I participated in We are Silent, so we stayed silent for those childrens who don’t have a voice. I also volunteer at the temple. I raised funds for the Credit Valley Hospital by giving out free Lemonade at my temple, and those who wanted to donate had the opportunity to. I raised more than $500 in 2 hours.I was also part of the stage crew, I helped set up the lights, stage, microphones, the gym and other tech pieces (e.g. projector screen). I love to read, so I joined Library Helpers, and I stayed one period in the library once a cycle, I helped students get around, I sorted the books, and I read new books. Ever since I was small I never liked Bullying, it really angered me and I always wanted to take action against it. In grade 6, when I heard about the Bullying Prevention Committee, I had to join. We made posters to create awareness of Bullying. I am currently in Knitting & Crocheting Club, where I learn how to knit and
