My favorite book has to be Tallstar’s Revenge by Erin Hunter. Coming from the prominent Warriors series, choosing just one book, from a plethora of books I love, was a challenge, but something about Tallstar’s Revenge stood out. Tallstar’s beginning was surprisingly unfortunate; not only did he lose his father to a tunneling accident, Tallstar became so bent on revenge that he left his clan to find the cat he believed to be responsible for his misery. However, when Tallstar finally gets to exact his revenge, he decides to spare the cat, realizing that his father’s death couldn’t be blamed on any cat and that he was the source of his own misery. The main reason I connect so well with this book is because I see myself in Tallstar. We both can
I am reading Crossed by Ally Condie and I am on page 140. So far this book is about Cassia and Ky’s journey in the Carving to find each other. Cassia travels with a friend, Indie, from a farm that she worked at before they came to the outer provinces. Ky travels with a boy who reminds him of cassia’s brother, Eli, and a friend, Vick. As they travel, Cassia and Ky both believe they will find each other somehow against all odds.
I really liked the book Torn because I felt like I could relate not just to one character but to almost all of the characters. I think that the author did a very good job of creating
The book I read is called Silent Warrior. It's a biography about the famous marine sniper, Carlos Hathcock. The book takes you from his death bed to the death field in Vietnam, where he earner his title as the best of the best. His 93 confirmed kills and hundreds more unaccounted made him the number one sniper in our history. The book brought out the best of the man that everyone knew as Gunny Hathcock.
I recommend “Cryer’s Cross” to my best friend because it is an amazing book. When I first read the book I thought I wouldn’t like it. But now I am in love with the book. The characters really engage me in the book and I think my friend would fall in love with the characters like I did. You can feel all the emotion in the book and I think that is what engaged me the most. You can feel how the character feels and it makes you feel connected to the characters. One of the quotes from the book is “When it is over, We breath and ache like old oak, like peeling birch. One of our lost souls set free. We move, a chess piece in the dark room, cast-iron legs a centimeter at a time, crying out in silent carved graffiti. Calling to our next victim, Our

The Emperor of Nihon-Ja was really special to me,because it was more about Horace and how he bonds with the Emperor of Nihon-Ja and the emperor teaches him the ways of Nihon-Ja. Every book in the Ranger's apprentice series is extremely good and it is my new favorite series of all time. It as the first time Horace went on a military mission alone. This is the first book that Evanlyn openly admitted that she loves Horace and how the happy couple finally are gonna get married, I hope. A lot of things were a first in this
Hey, I just finished the book called Dork Diaries, Tales from a NOT-SO-Happy Heartbreaker By Rachel Renee Russell. My 5th grade teacher recommended it to me because she thought I should read books that have a little bit of everything that I like in a book, I agreed.
Do two wrongs ever make a right? Or as Zits, the main character of the novel Flight contemplates, “Is revenge a circle inside a circle inside a circle?” (77). In Flight, written by Sherman Alexie, the main character, a troubled Native American teenager named Zits travels through time and different bodies while learning about revenge, trauma, violence, forgiveness, family, and betrayal. All of these things pertain directly to Zits, and he uses these lessons to understand his life better. A scene in the middle of the novel where Zits is in the body of a young boy at the Battle of the Little Bighorn reveals to the reader (and Zits) one of the things that had the biggest effect on Zits-revenge. Zits and the reader see in this scene how revenge
Lone Star decreases the abhorrence surrounding incest through an assimilation to miscegenation; since the latter is more accepted among society in 1995, a smooth integration between the two make Pilar and Sam’s incestuous relationship seem acceptable. However, acceptability and believability are not synonymous. Though Sam and Pilar refuse to let “blood mean what society proclaims it should,” they cannot avoid the past’s dominating impact (26). This mere revelation creates a need for denial. Their knowledge of the past will determine their role in any society they wish to live in. In order to start over, “they will have to repeat the history of transgression, deception, and cover-ups they want to forget” (27). They will frequently remember their shared father as they reenact the roles he and Mercedes played twenty years prior. “Lone Star, like the lovers, cannot start from scratch” for Sam’s investigation collapses the border between past and present and provides an undeniable revelation (Buddy Deeds is Pilar’s father) (28). Sam and Pilar’s incestuous relationship creates a need for a loophole; and verifying a relationship on the basis of an alibi merely validates the past’s perpetual tainting of the present and future.

Revenge is a kind of wild justice. Throughout many texts, the notion of justice has been debated on whether it is an act that vindicates those who have been wronged or an excuse to pursue revenge. Through Medea, Medea’s actions have been judged and criticised whether her murders are an act of justice that she deserves or simply the idea of inflicting pain on those she loathes.
The story that started it all and inspired the Shadow-Keepers Series by Jas T. Ward.
My name is Gillian Gutzwiller and I am so elated to be reading your book The Storm. I go to Freeland Middle School in Freeland Michigan. Why I chose this book is because I have strong feelings for the lessons and the realizations I have had while reading this book. The Topic of this book is probably science fiction because it deals with little tiny alien bugs inside the rain. I have read the first book in this series called H2O. I absolutely fell in love with your other book and I had to read the sequel. The reason why I started reading your series is because my sister suggested it to me and I took it straight to my personal library. I am so happy my sister advised this book for me!
Isabels short story, “An Act of Vengeance” is an example of the power she depicts towards women along with her foundation, “The Isabel Allende Foundation” which she states, “Empowers women and girls worldwide”. In her text, in which a young teen’s father is killed by the same man who raped her and took away dignity and reason for living building up hate towards him. The irony is as Allende states, “She searched her heart for the hatred she had cultivated throughout those thirty years, but she was incapable of finding...Then she understood with horror that by thinking about him every moment, and savoring his punishment in advance, her feelings had become reversed and she had fallen in love with him”(Allende#1). The hatred and punishment she wanted to give him for what he did turned into an unstoppable love. Isabel Allende is a strong feminist and it can be seen throughout her writing, reason for this is her personal experiences, causing it to change the way she refers when writing about the opposite sex.
Have you ever watched a movie or a tv show and fell in-loved with a character? Or wondered how that character became who they were. I recently started watching a tv show called Outlanders I have developed a fond relationship with a woman named Clare Frasier, the setting of the show is from the late 1700’s and the late 1940’s. This show defines how woman were treated back in the 1700’s and how they were treated in the later years. This show interrupts the life of men and women that grew up in Scotland in the late 1700’s. I believe that this show has information related to life events during the war with the Scotts and the English also it has provided a true love connection between Clare and her husband. The character Clare develops into an independent, fierce, and selfless woman, she also makes herself well- known healer that helps provide her happiness.
