The common people helped to support the Inca economy. Communities were linked not only through socials relations, but economic relations as well. Economic activities varied by communities, with coastal societies having a more specialized and interdependent economy. They were primarily farmers with some also have herds of animals such as llama or alpaca. The households in the Andes communities depended on each other to trade necessary goods. Lands or fields varied and were not suitable for all crops, exchange networks were created and linked people in complementary ecozones. Kin groups would exchange labor in order to support the community and the economy. This was particularly important if a person was away on military duty. Commoners or

The Ayllus in Inca society were similar to the calpullis from the Mexica society. Cultivators lived in groups (an ayllu) of other peasants. Each was made of several families that lived together and shared the land, animals, crops, and tools that were allotted to each ayllu.
Humans covered vast areas of the Earth, some even during the harshness of the ice age, only carrying basic hunting tools.
Ordinary people can have an extraordinary impact on the world. At the top of Mount Hira in the year 610, Allah spoke to a humble merchant named Muhammad Ibn Abdallah, stating that He, Allah, was the one and only God. Within a hundred years of Muhammad’s death in 632, Islam, a religion that taught the importance of charity and “submitting to the will of Allah”, had sparked a new empire. The empire originated in the Middle East and quickly expanded across North Africa and into Europe (Background Essay). For an era that did not have the modern technology that made it easy to spread new ideas and beliefs, Islam dispersed rapidly due to active trade, the clear laws presented in the Qur’an and other religious texts, and an active army that allowed
In Mexica culture, calpulli were communities of cultivators that worked on land belonging to aristocrats who had common forefathers, however after some time, the importance of familial lineage became less important. While usually working on agriculture, some calpulli also worked on general services to their greater societies. Comparably, the Inca cultivator-peasants lived in communities called ayllu that were like the Mexica’s calpulli. Similar to the future system of feudalism, the peasants worked on the land of an aristocrat, and most products of this work went to the upper classes. While the Mexica and Inca lower classes resembled each other, the upper classes were disparate.

How Can These Challenges Be Addressed. The changing of disability rates, the size of the economy and efforts at privatization may affect how much of an economic burden these programs will impose in the future. As a result, household financial wealth in the world's major economies will be roughly $31 trillion lower in 20 years than it would have been if historical demographic trends had persisted. Raising the retirement age, easing restrictions on immigration, encouraging families to have more children, and achieving faster economic growth will have little impact on this shortfall. To fill it, households and governments will have to increase their savings rates and national economies will have to allocate capital more efficiently, thereby boosting returns (Farrell, 2005).
The movie I chose was Easy A because there are many psychological concepts this movie that relate to real-life events and it covers many theories we learned about in this class. Easy A was released in 2010 and directed by Will Gluck. It’s about a teenage girl named Olive who accidentally admits to her friend Rhi that she was having sexual relations with boys. She felt pressured into lying since her friend had already engaged in sexual acts with her boyfriend. A rumor then spread and many people in the school then ignored Olive because they thought what she did was an immoral act, but the guys started giving her more attention. I feel that this applies to many
In the film Ordinary People, we see the main protagonist, Conrad, suffer from major depressive disorder. Throughout the film, he shows symptoms of depression through challenges regulating sleep, depressed mood, thoughts of death and suicide, along with multiple other symptoms. The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders or the DSM-V, lists the symptoms of depression as: depressed mood most of the time, reduced interest or enjoyment in most activities, challenges regulating appetite and weight, challenges regulating sleep, physical agitation or lethargy, having much less energy, unwarranted guilt, problems thinking, concentrating, or making decisions, and thinking of death and suicide (Meyers, 629).
The Vietnam War raged on from 1954-1975, taking over three million lives with it. Conflicts rooted in the cold war resulted in the United States sending troops to defend South Vietnamese democracy. However as the war became more lengthy and expensive, many civilians began to protest the United States participating in the war, creating the Antiwar Movement. Though the movement had lasting effects on society, it did not immediately cause the United States to retreat from Vietnam. The antiwar movement of the 1960’s, which is deeply connected with the transcendentalist belief of Civil Disobedience, protested the involvement of the United States in the infamous Vietnam War, and has had numerous effects on the American Military and Government to this day. However, the movement that strived for peace did not completely accomplish its goal of ending the United States’ involvement in international armed conflict.
Parents are perhaps the greatest influences in a person life. They mentor us, shape us and model us into the type of people they would be proud of. This is no different in the movie, Ordinary People which portrays a family of three struggling through a tragedy and its byproducts. The movie highlights the three different parenting styles through the two parents, Beth and Calvin, of Conrad. Furthermore the movie underscores the impact of externals events on parenting styles relating the Person-Situation Controversy to Parenting styles.
The tendency of communities to specialize in some phase of economic activity made it necessary that they maintain commercial contact with other communities and countries in order to secure the things that they did not produce (Hope 16). Some villages, for example, specialized in fishing, others concentrated on metallurgy, while others made weapons, utensils, and so on. Traders traveled from place to place to barter and to purchase. Upon returning they were laden with goods that they sold within their own community (Hope 17).
