Communication and a language are essential characteristics to have. But what exactly is language and communication? According to Merriam Webster, language is defined as the, “the words, their pronunciation, and the methods of combining them used and understood by a community”. On the other hand, communication is defined as, “a process by which information is exchanged between individuals through a common system of symbols, signs, or behavior”. Personally, these definitions of the two words are somewhat similar. Nevertheless, they do have a difference. Words are the key components that form a language. While a language is how communication is established. Words can be defined as the parts of speech that symbolizes and communicates a meaning. I believe people communicate through language. Whether it is a human, monkey, or animal, every living thing can communicate somehow. With this being said, there are many types of communication by language such as sign language, voice, and body language.
I do not think that language is considered solely a human characteristic. Yet, it is often associated with humans, and it is easier to see and understand how humans communicate than other animals. The first and most common type of communication is the use of your voice. Simply humans use their voice to speak their feelings so others can hear them.
