I have learned that communication competency is the ability to be both effective and appropriate. This is a good reminder to be conscious of how you go about discussing certain things. After reading section 1.3 I realized I communicate with too much appropriateness that I don’t always get what I hope to achieve out of some conversations. With this, I think the most important characteristic of a competent communicator is the ability to perform skillfully. This would also be the one characteristic I could use improvements on because I choose the appropriate way to communicate, but don’t always perform the behavior effectively. Those who can both communicate effectively and appropriately fit the definition of a competent communicator. My question
Purpose: The purpose of this speech is to educate and inform my audience of the risks inherent from unintended hypothermia. I’m eager to alert perioperative staff of the potential dangers as well as the preventative measures that can be taken in order to avoid complications associated with unintended hypothermia. My central idea is hypothermia management saves lives.

Introduction: Communication competence is defined as “Achieving one’s goals in a manner that ideally, maintains or enhances the relationship in which it occurs.” (Adler & Proctor, 22) This means that successful communication is getting what you want in a way that improves your relationship with that person. Their is no ideal way to communicate because there are many different methods that can be effective for communicating in different situations.
Communication theories helps organizations determine how to approach and address health issues. The two communication theories used in spreading the dangers of smoking tobacco among Georgia smokers includes the Persuasion Theory and Mass and New Media Communication Theory. The target audience plays a role in the decision of which theory to optimize. Youth seem to respond to social media network communication, such as Facebook and Twitter as the adults seem to respond to TV or billboard ads that display graphic images of health issues related to smoking tobacco.
Upon my completion of taking the "The Competence Communicator" assessment "Do You Smell Something Burn? Assessing Your Burnout Risk", I discovered that my was between a 31-50 resulting that I am at moderate burnout risk. At this point in my career, I would agree with the results due to there has been a lot of aspects at my job that has caused a negative effect on employees leading to temporarily stressful aspects to my job. I have recognized I am not the only one to feel these symptoms of burnout but also some of my close colleagues are as well. As a part of my assignment to identify the styles and different skills of communication by studying Brian Krzanich actions and behaviour. Next part is to perform a critical analysis on the identified communication styles and skills by comparing and contrasting strength, weakness of a selected person.
One communication aspect of teaching that I noticed in the film it’s the skills that a teacher must possess to be successful as a teacher. I recall being in class early into the semester and Dr. Aguilar mentioning these skills. As I was taking notes, I was analysis each of the skills personally to see where I am and where I need to be. It felt like I was given a headstart into this career by being given these skills that characterize a teacher. With that being said, there are eight skills Dr. Aguilar explained and I was able to notice all of them in the film.

Dorothy and I have been friends for 11years now. We meet at a nursing home where we both work as CNA’s . She is no long a cna , she does something completely different. We can go months without talking and then decide we need each other. We can start right back up where we left off. We have been there for each other though up’s and down’s. When I started to look at more detailed information about the Devil I focused on aspects such as its cancer and its distribution because I already had the knowledge of conservation I could go straight into the more detailed aspects and understand and analyse it. Listening is a vital element of communication and it is very much different from hearing sense of human. A meaningful communication requires both a good listener and a speaker. However, the effect of a listening style may vary depending on the occasions and situations a listener is in.
