After firstly briefly reading part of “communist manifesto” from The Marx-Engels Reader, I have a general understanding about The Communist Manifesto presents an analytical approach to the class struggle (historical and present) and the problems of capitalism. I am more like concerning on bourgeoisie and proletarians.
The reason I interested in this section because it introduces and explains the final conflict between the bourgeoisie and the proletariat. Tucker (1978) states: The proletariat goes through various stages of development. With its birth begins its struggle with the bourgeoisie. At first the contest is carried on by individual laborers, then by the work-people of a factory, then by the operatives of one trade, in one locality, …show more content…

He also presents ways in which the proletariat is a unique class, which is connected with improved communication. The most significant trait of the proletariat is that they have nothing to lose because based on the nature of being proletarians; they have no power at all. What they must do is destroying the entire system. So when there is a revolution, they will destroy the entire system of class exploitation, such as private property. As for this part, he first introduces the idea that economic concerns of a nation, and that the struggle between the rich bourgeoisie and the hard working proletariat would eventually lead to Communism. He then depicts how the bourgeois can always get what they wanted. Marx emphasizes positives that were done by this group, but he certainly seemed consider more on the negatives committed by the bourgeois.
He defines the proletarians, or the labor class, and how they were formed, suffered, and what struggles they met. Historically, we can critically say that the proletariat is very particular. Because as the communist manifesto states: in the past, when a class got the upper hand, it tried to subject all of society to its own mode of appropriation. However, the proletariat lacks any property to keep and expand. They must destroy all ways of securing private property.
