Final Exam Essay (Compare and Contrast Christianity and Islam)

As two of the most followed religions in the world, Christianity and Islam are based upon the belief of one God whom created the world and cares for the behavior and beliefs of human beings. As both Christianity and Islam follow the Abrahamic religion and are similar in origin, there are very few differences in regards to beliefs and teachings that set them apart. Like many religions in the world today, there is always a right and wrong way to the inevitability with an eternal life to God. Islam, in Arabic, is known as the submission or surrender in Ultimate Peace. Through this religion, the teaches are that in order to achieve a mind of peace and a fulfilled heart, one must submit to God, also known as Allah. Once submission has begun, it is then required that one must live according to the divine Law. In accordance with Allah’s message, the submission and active obedience is practiced throughout the Muslim community. By practicing prayer fives times daily, the repentance and fear of God becomes ones of hope in God’s mercy. Once one dies, a Muslim and all beings are said to have been accountable to Allah on the Day of Judgment. …show more content…

The trinity that is taught throughout Christianity is known as the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, where all people become under the righteous judgment of God. The practices by which a Christian follows are one of prayer, sacrament, worship in church, the reading of the bible, acts of charity, and a communion by which reenacts the moments leading up for Jesus death. Throughout these practices and traditions, one is considered to have an eternity of life in Heaven, though if one refuses to accept the knowing of God and Jesus into their life, the eternity of Hell is
