Barry, I truly enjoyed reading your discussion post and found while reading I did not focus as much on areas that are very much important in my own thread. While also finding it difficult to separate Martin Luther and John Calvin, I found through my reading that John Calvin seemed to have an approach that seemed to pull him ahead by just a little. These men, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, and others, have all been honored and commemorated for their contributions. His name does not appear in the history books or on the tongues of many proud Americans, for he was neither a citizen of America nor an American hero.

By comparing the lives and ideas of each author in their respective historical context, one can better understand the impact of the ability to communicate to the masses and possessing a variety of experiences can have on one’s success in obtaining new knowledge and creating change.
