Imagine yourself being the only third child in a world that doesn’t allow no more than 2 children per family and as soon as you feel comfortable with the situation you are in, somebody can take it away from you. How would you feel? well for Ender Wiggin he felt unwanted by his parents because he felt like he was a disgrace to them. The tale of Ender Wiggin is an interesting one to say the least he goes from a kid that everyone hates to saving the earth as the commander of his fleet. Even though there were a few obstacles standing in his way, he was able to overcome them. If you are told to either read the “Enders’ Game” or watch the movie, you have to read the book. There were some major key elements that made the “Enders’ Game” so interesting to read. One element was Enders’ istolation from his peers Mazor Rackman still being alive. He provided a calming influence on Ender. He has able to push Ender like no one else could. Another Key Element was Ender love for Valentine. She was the only one that truly cared and understood Ender. She is the reason why Ender went to Battle School and the reason why he stayed …show more content…
One important difference was Valentine and Peter takes control of the earth by using the names of Demosthenes and Locke in the novel. This is important because it not only showed us Enders’ story but the people closest to him as well and it also enhanced the story by giving it a different element. Another key difference was Ender not getting traded to Rabbit Army in the movie. This is significant because Dink helped Ender continue his development and in honing his skills as well as becoming a better leader and commander. The most important difference has though been Ender getting to govern the new colonies in the novel. This is huge because it shows Enders maturity and wisdom that he has gained through the ups and downs that he has experienced in his
Ender had beaten up a kid named Stilson because he was bullying Ender and Ender wanted it to end so he beat him up really bad so Stilson and his gang wouldn’t come back and bully him again. Ender is a third child and that’s why the kids would point and laugh at him. When they walk into public everyone stares at them. A third where they live is unusual because u were only suppose to have 2 kids and if you do have a third then that messes up a lot of things for you. But before Ender was born his parents signed him over to the government. So anything the government wanted him to do he had to. Like when they wanted to take Ender to battle school his mother said no, but she didnt have any say so becasue she signed him over to the
2 major and reoccurring themes throughout Ender’s Game is manipulation and deception. Much of this novel is about how adults manipulate Ender into fulfilling their needs. They trick him, lie to him, and tell him just enough so that he can defeat the buggers. Ender pretty much sums this up when he says, “I've spent my life as someone's pawn" (Pg. 97). On one hand, it seems wrong to lie to and cheat a kid. On the other hand, the adults manipulate him to ensure the survival of the human race. Besides the manipulative relationship between the adults and Ender, there are a number of other relationships full of manipulation: Peter manipulates Valentine, Peter and Valentine manipulate the world, and
Some similarities are Ender’s brother, Peter, is mean to him and in the movie, and peter acts the same in the book too (pg 10-11). Also, in the movie and in the book the adults lied and manipulated Ender to kill all of the buggers for them (pg 314). Finally, in
In the beginning of Ender’s game, we are introduced to Ender Wiggin. Ender Wiggin was a shy kid who was unaware of all of the possibilities he had. He starts to become a stronger more mature boy and soon enough realizes all the power he posses. He has an older brother named Peter, and an older sister named Valentine. He at first is this little, weak kid, and in five years goes from that to a mature leader of an army. We see him progress to the top of what he becomes, but it does not happen easily. He has to make many hard decisions that could go any which way.
I will make 4 different points to show the differences. The first point is the fight with Stilson. In the book the fight is outside while Ender is walking to the bus and in the movie the fight is initially in science lab. Stilson and his friends pushed Ender in the science lab to fight him. Next, Ender
In Ender's game a boy named Ender Wiggin is sent to battle school at a very young age to learn how to become a commander in the military. Throughout the entire book the government seems to control everything. This reflects Orson Scott Card's communistic political views. The government controls how many kids’ families can have, and the government begins conditioning children to become military leaders at a very young age. Another underlying theme in this book is the idea of perfection.
1- As humans, we have certain morals that guides our lives. Our parents and society that surrounds us guides us to believe in rules and proper actions but in Ender's Game, these moral codes of our idea of humanity are challenged and questioned. Card's use of a utopian world in his science fiction novel sometimes do not obey the concepts that individuals today in the United States are raised to stay true to. This can be seen in the novel as Ender is a Third and is not as welcome in his family as Peter and Valentine by society and putting others down to feel better about themselves. In addition, Ender was placed within his family by the government in order to grow with a family, but when old enough, train and become a military genius for all of Earth's wars.
In Ender’s game, the plot follows Ender Wiggin, showing how he goes through battle school along Colonel Graff. Just being a child of six years old with extraordinary views and attributes ender eventually gets higher and higher as he is presented with being commander of the new generations
Beginning before he was born there were many expectations based around him. Starting with Peter, his family knew they had really smart child. Then Valentine was born and the I.F. started to take more notice of the Wiggin family. The fact that the government allowed Ender to be born after Valentine didn’t work out, tells how desperately they needed a deliverer.
Those were a few of the big differences you can easily notice. There were also other tiny differences. In the movie there were no Locke and Demosthenes, no Dink’s theories, Ender’s time in battle school was shortened down, the battles were compressed , and his army is much smaller than in the book. Also, his siblings, Valentine and Peter, were almost completely cut from the
In Orson Scott Card’s Ender’s Game, many character differences are scene in both the movie and novel, the most notable change is seen in the development of Ender. The movie shows Ender not killing Stilson and Bonzo. Ender also yells for help when he seriously hurts Bonzo during a fight. Ender forms a connection with another Launchie named Bean. Ender, a brilliant child, loses one of the simulation battles.
The Ender’s Game book is superior than the film adaptation because the book has more of a detailed plot that the film left out. In the book, after the final battle

Like many
In the book Ender’s Game by Orson Scott Card, it starts with ender in school and being made fun of. After he beats up a bully, he goes home to deal with his brother Peter who also bullies him because Ender is a better specimen than Peter was. But what no one expected was that a representative from the military came to invite Ender to Battle School up in space. Ender accepted and went to live up in Battle School for years to come. At first, Ender was hated for being such a talented student at the age of six but was soon respected after he was able to beat all the other armies with just a bunch of little kids. Ender became the best soldier at Battle School and was moved up to Command School where he would learn to command
