The Jews had to hide in the annex, while World War 11 was going on, so they would not get killed by the Germans. Two of the families that had to hide from the Germans were the Frank and Van Daan family. Anne, Peter, and Margot are different in many ways. Peter and Margot was 16, and Anne was only 13. Anne and Peter did not have to wear glasses, Margot is the only one that had to wear glasses. Peter was a boy, Anne and Margot was a girl. Margot and Peter did not like to write and read, as much as Anne did. Anne, Peter, and Margot are similar in many ways. They were all teenagers. They were all friends, and had to live together, hide together. They all had to suffer from getting killed by the Germans, and they had to suffer to get some decent
In conclusion, there are many similarities and differences to the movie and book we studied. There are many forms of The Diary of Anne Frank but all of them relate the her diary. Everyone that helped with the secret annex are very brave and courteous to everyone that was hiding there. In the end there are many people that did everything in their power to keep the secret annex from being found by the green police.
Take Liesel Meminger and Anne Frank. They have a number of similarities. Both girls living in the same time period, their around the same age. But many differences also separate them. One is a Jew, while
To begin with, Anne and Peter’s personalities have many similarities and differences. Anne is very outgoing, talkative, and optimistic. On page 728 Anne is talking to Mr.Dussel and in their conversation about allergies she says, “How dreadful. You must be terribly lonely”. If Anne was outgoing she probably wouldn't have had the courage to talk to Mr.Dussel like that, or at all. On the other hand, Peter's personality is quiet, respectful, and more reserved than Anne’s. When Anne gave Peter a present for Mousci, he said
In the Diary of Anne Frank, the two characters I chose to compare and contrast are Mrs. Frank and Mrs. Van Daan. These two ladies are similar and different in many ways. They are both middle aged women that live in Amsterdam. When the Holocaust began in 1939, Mrs. Frank and Mrs. Van Daan moved into the secret Annex with their families.
Some of the Franks and all of the Van Daan’s all died at concentration camps and almost all in the same year. People died because of various things and died at different ages. They died at different camps and some of them were separated when they died. Starting with ages. Anne died at 16, Margot died at 18, Peter at 18, Mrs.Frank at 44, and Mr. Frank died at 91 because he survived the holocaust and lived many more years after. They all died at various camps, Anne and Margot died at the Bergen- Belsen camp, Mrs. Frank at Auschwitz, and all the Van Daan’s at the Mauthausen camp. They were all first transferred to Auschwitz and some were then transferred to other camps.
Mrs.Frank and Margot are both related to Anne Frank and lived in the annex with her. They both had courage, compassion, and they had a little sacrifice.
After seeing the film and reading the text I learned a lot of information on what a Jews life in hiding was like. Both impacted me deeply but seeing the film was more impactful for me. In the film you could see what their living situation was like so you could get a better understanding of what being in hiding was like, it might not have been a exact replica of what it really was like but you still got a good idea of it. Also you could see the characters feelings and emotions. This helped the viewers know what they were feeling in a certain moment in time. So while both were very interesting I was more in favor of the Film over the Text, it add more elements to the story for me.
During the holocaust there were 3 teen agers named Anne, Margo frank and peter Van Daan. Anne is 13 years old and peter and Margo are 16 years old. Peter is the only sibling in his family but Margo and Anne are sisters. Peter has a cat named musty but Margo and Anne doesn’t have a pet. Anne and Margo are Mr. and Mrs. Frank. Peter is the child of MR. and Mrs. Van Daan.
But let’s get to how they are all different Anne is outgoing, talkative, and sensitive. Margot is Peter is quiet and rarely expresses his personal thoughts and feelings. Anne sees herself as accomplishing something great in life, while Peter says he wants to be a gambler or just loaf around. Anne spends some of her time studying, while Peter sees his studies as a boring requirement.
Towards the beginning of the play, Peter and Anne have a teasing and kind of playful relationship. They don’t totally like each other, but they’re also very different. Anne is closer to her father than anyone else, but she doesn’t really enjoy her mother. Anne and Margot are fairly close, but Anne seems pretty jealous of Margot and her looks. Mrs. and Mr. Van Daan seem kind of rude to her.
Margot, Peter, and Anne were all Jews. They were all hidden in the Annex because of them being Jews. Also they had to wear the Jewish star on their clothing. Within the years they started to become good friends. They talked to each other and helped when in need. Anne, Margot, and Peter all had become closer than they were before they known each other.
Now even though Anne Frank and Gerda Klein were different people and they had different personalities, their lives had things in common. For example, They were both taking to a concentration camp and they were both planning what they were going to do once they were saved. They both had high hopes for their future, like Anne wanted to be a great writer who would be remembered even after she died. Both of their friends either died or were killed at the concentration camp. They were both surviving on little or no food for years. Gerda was a human skeleton when she was found by the american soldiers. These were just a few of the major similarities that I found.
There are many things that are the same, but one main similarity that occurred was that Anne and Peter both fell in love with each other towards the end. The thing that did not happened in the play though, was that Peter and Anne both kissed.
There are many similarities between the Anne Frank movie and the Anne Frank play script. First, one of the most apparent similarities is the part where the robber breaks into the building and hears the families upstairs. The author kept this part of the story the same because the robber eventually told the nazi’s that people were hiding in the attic. It made sense to keep this part the same between the movie and the play because it is the most logical way for the nazi’s to find out that they were hiding. During this part of the movie you could tell by the expressions on the characters faces that they were terrified.
For an example, Anne wasn’t afraid to ask Margot what she thought about Peter and if she was jealous about it. But Margot says that she’s jealous of Anne that she has a reason to get up in the morning. I think this conversation that they have really makes their personalities stand out and it really shows the basis of their relationship.
