“The Company of Wolves”, by Angela Carter, is an evolved form of the typical children’s story “Little Red Riding Hood”. There are many differences in Carter version then the older stories, but at the same time they are very similar. All of the stories are about a little girl with a red cape going to her grandmother’s house, who lives in the middle of the woods. As she is walking to her grandmother’s house, she encounters a hungry wolf. She tells the wolf where she is going, then the wolf goes ahead of her, eats the grandmother and then eats Little red.
