Macs and PCs have been around for quite some time now; as a result, there have been many debates between which one is better. Mac is supposedly the cool kid on the block while PC’s are conveyed as being business oriented. Both Macs and PCs have their advantages and disadvantages, and companies often try say what their products have that the other institutions don’t. In the Mac vs PC advertisement it seems as if the Mac outshines the PC, however, in the Surface Pro 3 advertisements it feels as if the PC is more efficient. Different companies use different tactics to get their consumers hooked onto an advertisement to try and make them prefer a certain product over another; companies often use marketing schemes to grab the attention of customers. The Mac was dressed in colors such as blue because it is casual and appealing to the younger audience. In a certain part of the advertise the PC guy brings other people with black business clothing to make it seem as if the PC guy was more professional than the Mac, in the end it backfires since there are problems with the program. In general, the Mac vs PC advertise noted all the faults that the PC had, and the features that the Mac had to outperform the PC. In the Surface Pro 3 advertise the MacBook air has bad lighting because the color of the Mac is silver, and it nearly blends in with the rest of the background; the Surface Pro has dark edges which looks better on a white background. Microsoft decides to show all the features that the Surface Pro has but leaves out all the features the Mac is made of.
