Compare and Contrast the Presidential Candidates
“The ballot is stronger than the bullet.” Abraham Lincoln
What are Donald Trump’s political views and his stances? What are Hillary Clinton’s political views and her stances? This year’s election has quite a bit of downs, correction a lot! Several people are struggling on which presidential candidate to choose, to the point that some just want to continue to keep Obama in office. Donald Trump’s vision is to “make America great again.” While Hillary Clinton’s vision is sort of the same, she just wants to make everything a lot more fair for everyone and she does not have the catchy phrase. This essay will contain information on the following topics: Tax plans, Immigration, and Healthcare. Which

If we could cherry-pick some of their good qualities and ideas and make a president out of them that would be great, but let us face reality we cannot. I am really glad I do not have to vote because this would be a really tough decision. I agree on a couple of things from both candidates. When it comes to the topic on immigration, I side with Hillary. The reason being is because a lot of immigrants come to the United States to have a better life, to have better opportunities. Not everyone coming from outside the country is a criminal. Tell me, is every single American, white or black good? No! You have white criminals as well as black. Keep in mind the shootings and stuff. That is exactly how it with immigrants from a different race. I think we are all alike we just have a different skin tone. There are some good people and some bad people. I guess there will just always be a few people who ruin something for everyone. When talking about the tax plans and health care topics I agree with Donald on some things and Hillary on others. On the tax plans I believe that everybody should pay their fair share. It is kind of ironic how Donald believes the same thing even though he does not even pays own taxes! What makes the people think that he is going to keep his word about everyone paying fairly? So in a way I side with Hillary, because she plans on taxing the upper-class men. The only thing I do not agree with her is that she wants to over tax them. I do not think we need that because that would make things tight for the businesses because that would mean less jobs. I say that because they are already having to pay taxes, which is getting rid of their money and then later on they will not want to pay their workers so they might stop hiring. With the health care situation I agree with both of them. I agree with Donald on trying to make sure that it is affordable to everyone
His stance on Common Core testing is that “it’s a disaster”. “As president I’d end common core. Common Core is a disaster.” On the other hand Hillary has not yet voted her opinion on what should be done for Common Core testing, so her stance is “unknown.” Trump is against illegal immigration he stated on April 19, 2016 “illegal immigration is going to stop.” So just from this quote you can tell that he is going to stop it at no costs. Hillary said “I will stand up against any effect to deport dreamers. Immigrants are vital to our economy” on October 17, 2015. She wants to give them a full and equal path to become a
Both Roosevelt and Reagan dealt with major events involving foreign affairs. During Reagans two terms he increased defense spending 35 percent, but sought to improve relations with the Soviet Union. He attended meetings with Soviet
The United States of America is known to have two major political parties. The Republican party and the democratic one. Both parties are based on views and principles being completely opposites of each other. The Republican party is known to be a conservative party, while the democratic party is known to be liberal. Two concepts that are opposites to each other. The democratic party will most certainly convince the majority of the people that it is the ideal party to remain in office because it promotes economic equality, it advocates civil rights and individual freedom, and because it is a liberal party.
Donald Trump wants Mexico to pay for a wall at the border which will reduce crime and lower taxes. He wants an end to birthright citizenship and the mandatory detention of undocumented immigrants. He wants American workers to be put first.
We, as members of this society, should enter the voting booths well educated on the issues that are important to our beliefs. Trump and Clinton both believe that the direction they wish to take the country in is the best way, but they both have very different ideas regarding policies that would affect health care, immigration, and second amendment rights. Clearly, Hillary Clinton has better and more realistic ideas on how best to run a government, and is more professional in her actions. She worked within the last administration and built relationships with foreign dignitaries. She would strive to keep the country going in the right direction by building on the policies that have already been put into
Have you ever been a person on the outside looking in? Have you ever been an underdog in your lifetime? Well if you have then you and the presidential “outsiders” have something in common. Presidential candidates Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders were both candidates that were not expected to receive the nomination for their party. These candidates that came from two very different parties, shared many of the same views to change America.
Another topic of discussing is immigration. Immigration is something that is probably never going to go away. Some of the immigrants here today are the main reasons we have what we have today. Immigrants have been over here for some their entire life. Because immigration is so common today, many people overlook it because of the normality of it. Hillary Clinton’s views on immigration differs completely from Donald Trump. Clinton stated that she thinks it is okay for immigrants to live here in the United States if they have not committed a crime. Hillary Clinton also stated that they could stay if they agreed to learn English, pay taxes and also pay a fine to the government. I see nothing wrong with immigrants wanting to live in America if
Since 1789, citizens have consistently participated in presidential elections to determine who can skillfully lead, effectively protect, and adequately represent the United States of America. As the upcoming election of 2016 gradually makes an appearance, the people have to question who can sufficiently accomplish these objectives. The candidates’ Ideas, views, and opinions flood every political form of media to give the voters a fair opportunity in selecting the best choice according to their personal views. Before making a permanent decision, one must inspect and investigate the different candidates, including Trump, Carson, Christie, and Bush, in heavy issues such as education, immigration, and tax reform to decide who is the best
The 2016 Presidential election forces American voters to pick between the lesser of two evils. With the future of the country at stake, there must be numerous hours invested into researching the best candidate to potentially run the country for the next eight years. Each presidency term shapes the past and future whether it be good or bad. This election will be no different. Donald Trump’s views including lowering corporate taxes to have economic growth, as well as, people on the terror watch list should not be allowed to buy guns, and the repealing of Obamacare to replace it with Health Savings Accounts give Americans sufficient reasoning to elect him for the next president.
Hillary Clinton promised: students free public college tuition for families that made less than $125,000 a year, equal pay for men and women, an increased federal minimum wage, and increased federal infrastructure funding by $275 billion over a 5-year period. Republican Nominee Donald J. Trump promised: building a wall along the southern border, temporarily banning of Muslims from entering the United States until proper vetting could be done, renegotiation of trade deals like the “North American Free Trade Agreement” and the “Trans-Pacific Partnership” which were both set up by former President Bill Clinton, and fully repealing Obamacare and replace it with a market-based alternative. Both nominees experienced opposition towards them due to things they had said and done prior to and during the election. All these lead to slandering from both parties and also from the American people.
The politics in the United States is known for its bipartidarial nature, with Democrats and republicans ruling the nation’s political scenery. These parties are both constantly shaping not only the face of politics, but the people’s dogmas and actions. After President Trump’s election, the whole nation became agitated. In the midst of all the riots, protests and controversy, the election has provided much more information about both parties and the people’s reaction to it showed how it affects the American people. Although there are some aspects in which Republicans and Democrats converge, their differences are the ones that show off the most. Even though it is valid that none have succeeded in making the best decisions for the nation whenever given the chance, the rhetoric provided by the democrats seems more fair to me, even though it cannot fulfill everyone’s wishes in the United States.
They both want to lower middle class and increase taxes on the wealthy. Another being, sexual assault on college campuses. They both spoke strongly on the fact about this needing to come to an end. Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump are by far the most diverse people with different outlooks and ideas when it comes to politics, but surprisingly are similar within their personal
“I’m going to make america great again.” This is the plan that President Trump had come up with to get him elected, and could possibly help america big time. “Ask not what your country can do for you- ask what you can do for your country.” this was a quote from our former President, John F. Kennedy. JFK has had a huge impact on america in the late 1960’s. This essay will compare the two presidents by looking at their background, achievements, and their goals.
During the time of the elections businesses have been debating of weather to make their opinion of who they are for and who they are against. Some businesses think that it will draw in more customers or lose a big part of their market. Because of this many businesses had gone away from the subject entirely on fear of losing their clientele. Many of the businesses (mainly small ones) are worried that the presidential debate will hurt the economy making it harder to function in the future.
Hillary Clinton has a greater connection with the public than Donald Trump. In the news it has been shown that Hillary cares about the children of America. Since she is a woman she understands what women in this world go through. Women are treated less than men by the thought that they think they are superior than women. Unlike Donald Trump his image is completely a big disaster. He has called women pigs on live television and has insulted a woman reporter
