Trump and Clinton The candidates of the 2016 presidential election were an unlikely match. Donald Trump, a wealthy businessman and Hillary Clinton, a former first lady were the choices America had to pick from to vote in a new commander in chief. Trump and Clinton rose to political fame as the 2016 election progressed and this is a comparison and contrast of their early lives, their political beliefs, and their passion to improve the United States of America. Donald Trump seemed to be strongly influenced by his father in his decision to make a career in real estate, but, Trump’s personal goals were much larger than his father’s. Donald Trump took his education very seriously. He was a star athlete and student leader at The New York Military Academy. After graduating from the academy, Trump was enrolled at Fordham University. He later transferred to Wharton School of Finance at The University of Pennsylvania. He graduated in 1968 with a degree in economics. After graduation, Trump joined the family business. Political beliefs have been switched a few times in Trumps life. His political background was not very lengthy at the time he decided to run for office. Trump was a businessman before running and being elected president. He had no political experience other than making business deals with politicians. Trump became involved in political financing and enjoyed it for a long time. His political views have been very straight-forward since he announced he was running for president. Clinton was born in 1947. She was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. She was raised in a methodist church and was considered religious growing up. She was born to Dorothy Howell and Hugh E. Rodham. Clinton was the first born of three children. Her father was in the United States Navy and was an american businessman. Both of her parents saw how important it was to have a career not limited by gender biases. Hillary’s father entered politics once but did not win the small election he was a candidate for. Clinton’s father is said to have inspired her to follow her dreams and become a political figure. Hillary Clinton was extremely serious about her education. She graduated from Maine South High School in 1965 as a National Merit Finalist. She attended Wellesley College and was very active in student government. In 1968, she was elected as the president of Wellesley College Government Association. Clinton Graduated from Wellesley college in 1969. she took up various jobs before finding herself at Yale Law School. She was awarded with a Juris Doctor degree from Yale in 1973. Her political beliefs have shifted throughout her life. Her political background is quite impressive. She was elected the president of Wellesley College Government Association.
