Growing up I had always been fond of traveling. Throughout my life I have been lucky enough to be able to travel a good amount. I’d like to continue to travel through my life to be able to identify places by what makes that place unique. Although I have had a lot of chances to travel in my life, there are still plenty of places that I have not been. Therefore, I will be comparing two places that I haven’t got the chance to go to yet. I will be comparing the regions of California and Colorado. The geographical location of California is on the Western side of North America. California borders Oregon, Nevada, and Mexico while the Pacific Ocean borders the western side of California. Colorado is also located on the western side of North America. The states that border Colorado are Wyoming, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Nebraska. The demographics of California are more diverse than other regions in the United States. The population of California is estimated total is 39,144,818 residents. The amount of Caucasian residents in California is 72.9% of the population of the state. The first national park I would like to visit is the Rocky Mountain National Park, one of the most popular national parks. It has massive peaks, canyons, waterfalls and lakes. Next, I would like to visit the Curecanti National Recreation Area, which is made up of three lakes, Blue Mesa, Morrow Point, and Crystall. Finally, I would like to see the Grand Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve. It contains some of the highest natural in land sand dunes. I would also like to visit some breweries while in Colorado. One of the breweries that I would like to visit is the Avery Brewing Company. You can go take a tour of the brewery, taste test, and at the end enjoy a meal with an ice-cold
