“Federigo’s Falcon” and “The Wife of Bath’s Tale” are both similar and different. Both stories are written using the frame story device and develop themes throughout their plots and endings. Despite their similarities, the tales have different themes. The theme of “Federigo’s Falcon” is to not give up on love, not matter what. This theme is developed throughout the tale. Federigo never gives up on Monna Giovanna and shows his love to her by giving her almost everything he can. Later in the tale, Monna’s child is ill and the child thinks it will feel better if it gets Federigo’s falcon.
