Everyone has an ideal life, and in the book The Giver, Jonas’ society is where everyone is equal. Sameness is valued in this society. This is called a utopia. a utopia is defined as a perfect or ideal place. A utopia varies from person to person, though they may share similar concepts. In the book The Giver, the council creates what they believe a perfect society is. In present day society, we have similar attributes, but we accept them in different ways.
