What makes it so popular amongst society? And what makes it so widely taught amongst schools across the nation? Shakespeare crossed two of the most powerful emotions: love and hate. These were main themes of the novel that led the characters to commit shocking acts. People can relate to this because of these two emotions relatability. The play Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare is about the dilemma of choosing love over loyalty for your family. In the story Romeo and Juliet come from separate families who hate each other, but still find love in each other. They get married without telling their families and eventually the two families get into a fight which ends in Romeo getting banished from the city where Juliet lives. They have a plan for him to get back into to the city to prevent Juliet from being forced to marry another man, but it fails and ends with the suicide death of both Juliet and Romeo. Shakespeare's major theme in the text is that Love plays a major role in our lives and can heavily affect our decisions.
The big talk with all teens these days, is romeo and juliet (not really). They are all wondering the same exact question: Whose fault is it that romeo and juliet went through their horrible tragedy together. Is it the families?... Romeo?… The friar?… Well, you guessed it in the title. It is all juliet's fault that all of this ever went down. The main idea of the essay today will be how juliet messed up everything. Yes, there were many other people that contributed to their deaths, like the nurse, but the main problem of all of this, is Juliet. I will talk about her main mess ups and how she could have fixed these problems.
The song “Michelle” by the Beatles and the story of Romeo and Juliet by Shakespeare both assist the notion of the male brain when a male becomes struck with love and how they handle their feelings in those moments. The song “Michelle” supports this idea because it exhibits portraying imagery of a French man trying to express his love to a woman, but not knowing how to do it. The man then uses his verbal gestures to speak to her in the best way he can. Likewise, Romeo and Juliet supports this idea because it expresses a character named Romeo that does his best to convey his love for Juliet but being dumbfounded and incapable of finding the right words to say. Romeo happens to be so awestruck with love that he mumbles and struggles to find the right words to win Juliet’s heart.

Vyce immediately wants to keep Dane, and Fyuri wants a to scratch an itch. They fight.
In Romeo and Juliet, the death scene is truly an emotional scene compared to all parts of the movie. The book and the movie have different aspects of why this scene is the same, but also has some parts to be different.
I think you should let Romeo and Juliet be together for the following reasons. One, if Romeo and Juliet can love each other despite being from two families that hate each other then who is to say the two families can't get along just enough to let them be together. Two, if Romeo and Juliet were still here and did get married they could have brought there two families closer on a mutual agreement for the couple. Three, Romeo and Juliet are dead, they both killed themselves over each other because you didn't let them be together.
After both reading the text and viewing the 1996 film the medium that best delivers Shakespeare's play Romeo and Juliet, especially the balcony scene, is the text. To begin, the play has a much tenser, suspenseful mood compared to the movie. "'To lure this tassel gentle back again! Bondage in hoarse and may not speak aloud, Else would I tear the cave where Echo lies'" (II.ii.160-163). In the previous quote Juliet it speaking to Romeo and telling him that her parents are nearby and that they must whisper. This allows for a much more suspenseful mood, because the reader knows that at any moment the star-crossed lovers could be caught by Lord and Lady Capulet. Additionally, the text portrays Shakespeare's story better because Juliet is standing
The leading example of the lesson taught is when Romeo and Juliet have their first night together. Their meeting arises immediate disregards to their families hatred for one another and results in plans for a secret marriage. It begins when Romeo goes to the Capulet ball with his friends and meets Juliet. Their exchanges are interrupted when Juliet must go to her Mother. Later, the nurse tells Juliet that Romeo is a Montague. Juliet overlooks this the extent of this issue and says, “My only love sprung from my only hate! / Too early seen unknown; / and known too late! / Prodigious birth of love it is to me / that I must love a loathed enemy” (Shakespeare 1.5.151,155). Juliet and Romeo both know that what they are doing is wrong, but Juliet
Shakespeare’s ‘Romeo and Juliet’ is a story that will live on forever in the world of literature. This story illustrates how two people can have an instant connection but not really love and because of the dramatic way it’s portrayed it may send a false message to many youth today. I feel that the way Shakespeare portrayed love in this story is overdramatized and does not reflect how it would or should happen in real life. In my personal opinion, love is something that you have to work on. In the story, Romeo and Juliet constantly say how much they love each other and can’t live without each other, however, I feel that you should know someone for a while before professing your love and undivided attention. I also believe that Romeo and Juliet are much too young to be having these feeling and actively pursuing them, I feel the feelings between Romeo and Juliet have is more like lust than love.
Romeo is the lover in the story and hates to fight and always try's to stop people from fighting. Romeo and Juliet William Shakesspear Romeo and Juliet they fall in love at first sight and they have only known each other for a few days and they get married and kill each other. In the first paragraph it states that Romeo is a lover not a fighter. In the second paragraph it states that romeo is in love and the third paragraph states that romeo is a peace maker.
Please Know that I make haste with the remedies going on in the walls of Verona. Today and tomorrow may look burdensome and dreary, being then the fool of time and fortune as the stars have made thee. Yet still, as I have promised, your fair Juliet shall come to thee once more. For Paris stands not in the way of thy love, nor the lord or lady Capulet kin. Make knowing of yourself the pact array, for your fairest one’s path to you is through chimera and gray. She hath taken a vial, upon my prescription, that will stream through her core. The concoction will cause illusioned death, of the coldest persuasion. To the truth of truths, she lives, yes, but no warm lips or swell cheeks shall attest upon this fact. Her discovery, in such
Romeo and Juliet tells the tale of two young lovers forbidden to be together because of the long-lasting feud between their two families. No matter what their families may think of each other Romeo and Juliet knew that their love for each other was true and they persisted in being with each other. The two bring out the best in each other and have done things that weren’t really thought of as things they would do prior to their meeting, for example, Juliet seems to have brought light into Romeo’s life as opposed to before they met when he came off as this depressed boy that was stuck on a girl that would never like him back. Juliet at the beginning didn’t really seem to be the type to rush into marriage, but after she met Romeo she instantly knew that
It is well known that there are two different versions of the play Romeo and Juliet in motion picture. They are both mind-blowingly amazing, with basically the same plot and storyline, but they are different in so many ways. The 1968 version is harder to understand because of the lack of necessary props and costumes, yet it is the classic version, so it is usually more favorable of the two. The 1996 version should be shown to high schoolers, as it is viewed as the easier version to understand because of its more modern setting, props, costumes, and the way the characters act with one another.
He’s not a distinguished individual solely based on his abilities to create some of the most nastiest insults during the Elizabethan Era, his talents extend much farther than that, allowing him to write some of the most timeless stories one will ever read. Shakespeare was a phenomenal poet, and playwright, very few will disagree, especially after reviewing such astonishing work by him such as Hamlet as well as Romeo and Juliet. The most tragic love story that manages to creep into our hearts as if it were a silent ghost on a serene night, then make a place for itself. The tragic tale of Romeo and Juliet’s love has been told since 1597, either from a play, book, or movie. The latest release of the famous love story was in 1996, starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Claire Danes.
